COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A burly and bitter Imperial IPA, Rampant pours a pure copper and carries the sheen of a rightly hopped beer. The Mosaic and Calypso hops bring stonefruit to the front seat, and the addition of Centennials nod towards citrus for a well-rounded aroma. The taste expands these hops with heavy peach tones and a profoundly bitter bite. There is some malt sweetness to stand this beer up, and Rampant’s finish is bone-dry.

Poured from the bottle into a pint glass to drink. The beer had a very clear medium-dark gold color with an average-sized foamy white head with modest retention and lacing, and good cling. Its aroma featured pine and grassy hops notes, along with some earthy and grainy tones, and a slight touch of citrus. The taste was mostly bitter with grassy and grainy flavors, along with a bit of citrus, and a slight sour effect. It was fairly thin and light in the mouthfeel, with good carbonation, and a crisp feel, with a dry finish, and very little alcohol presence.

Floral, pear, lemon hop aroma. Appearance is a light gold with a white head with average retention. Hop flavor is full of lemons and flowers. Malt has notes of bread with hints of caramel. Mouthfeel is medium with medium carbonation. Overall, the hop profile is unique compared to typical IPAs. Overall, a solid dipa. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

I poured it from the bottle into a pint glass. It pours copper and golden with a white head and lacing. The aroma was a bit strange. There were hops, bread, and dank. The taste was bitter hops, earthy, onion, and bread. There was a boozy hint to it. This was okay. This wouldn’t be one of my first choices for an imperial IPA though.

Odd smell, odd taste. This just is not right. Can't detect any sort of hops I prefer to have in my IPA's. Will not buy again. Not sure how such a big brewery is selling this stuff. Clearly not in their wheelhouse. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
