COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A burly and bitter Imperial IPA, Rampant pours a pure copper and carries the sheen of a rightly hopped beer. The Mosaic and Calypso hops bring stonefruit to the front seat, and the addition of Centennials nod towards citrus for a well-rounded aroma. The taste expands these hops with heavy peach tones and a profoundly bitter bite. There is some malt sweetness to stand this beer up, and Rampantís finish is bone-dry.

Pours hazy orange amber with low white head. Aroma of resin, mango, peach, caramel. Taste is initial fruit sweet before a resin bitter finish that lingers. Body is medium and slick with soft to average carbonation.

Draft. Golden pour with white head. Grassy and citrus hop aromas, very fresh. Grassy and herbal flavor with a substantial malt balance.

Bottle. Clear amber color with foamy white head. Aroma is resinous hops, fruity, and sweet. Taste follows the aroma with some fruit flavors and nice hops. There is some off flavor that i canít quite pin down and it makes this beer almost unpleasant for me. Probably wonít buy this one again.

UPDATED: MAR 8, 2014 Pours a medium yellow-golden color with a big, foamy, lasting head. Medium carbonation. Hints of fruit and caramel in a fairly mild aroma. It leads with an almost nutty malt flavor and then finishes with a crisp but not overwhelmingly bitter finish that lingers nicely. Itís not as thick and chewy as some IPAs, which isnít a complaint. Very drinkable.

12 oz. bottle. Clear golden amber, thick off white head. Nice lacing. Aroma of resinous hops and apricots. Strong bitter finish, but not as much hop flavor as straight bitterness. Not much malt character, and a bit light of body for the bitterness, some caramel notes early in the finish. Not bad, but I wouldnít go out of my way to find it.

Poured a golden color with an off-white head. Aroma has lemons and spices. Taste is slightly creamy and very hoppy with some interesting barnyard flavors. Some cheese as well with a malty backbone. Overall pretty good!

Pours a bright, clear brass color with a respectable head. Gentle lacing. Aroma is very delicate hops and fruit. Taste is heavier on malt and lighter on hops than one would expect from an imperial IPA. Overall a pretty good beer, but I think it rates low for its category. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Very peachy hopped aroma. Light brass and effervescent. Initial taste of hops and slight malt. Dry finish. Fairly light for an IPA...just to my liking. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Beer poors light gold with a large white head. Aroma I of citrus with a minor solvency note. Flavor is medium sweet, dank citrus hop, and medium high bitterness. Body is medium, with hop sticky texture, and low carbonation. Overall nice beer. Iíd like to have this again.
