COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A burly and bitter Imperial IPA, Rampant pours a pure copper and carries the sheen of a rightly hopped beer. The Mosaic and Calypso hops bring stonefruit to the front seat, and the addition of Centennials nod towards citrus for a well-rounded aroma. The taste expands these hops with heavy peach tones and a profoundly bitter bite. There is some malt sweetness to stand this beer up, and Rampant’s finish is bone-dry.

Aroma is very sweet soapy citrus. Appearance is clear brown light carbanation creamy off white head that stays thought the beer. Thick lacing. Very nice appearance. Taste is very citrus piny with some floral vegetable very nice and clean. Very easy to drink for a double that is fairly high in alcohol. Overall one of my favorite imperials yet.

Six pack from the local Harris Teeter here in Huntersville, NC. Pours a nice copper color with a small head. Hoppy notes abound in the aroma - taste has a subtle citrus note with a bit of sweetness to accompany the bite the alcohol gives this. Clean finishing, very drinkable. Well played New Belgium.

Bottle from local gas station in the Dells. Pours a orangish copper with an off-white head. Aroma has major bittering hops. Citrus, pine, pitted fruits and more citrus. Taste is of grapefruit and pine with plenty of caramel back. Some sweet and pitted fruits. Medium bodied. Quite strongly bitter. A nice one if you are looking for a bitter IPA.

Pours light gold. Citrus pear grapefruit aroma. Green grassy yet sweet palate. Overall a great strong IPA. Not too overbearing

Bottle - Light clear amber pour with a off-white head. Nose is grassy, herbal, and a bit citrusy, with dry pale malt and just a hint of heat. I don’t get the "peach tones" in the taste, but there is some fruitiness along with more herbal and light grass notes. Not too bitter, but very dry. No astringency, and only a bit of heat considering the 8.5%. Loving the fact that this isn’t big, sweet and boozy. Well-carbonated and smooth in the mouth. Bravo, New Belgium.

Bottle. Pours light amber with a white head. Citrus and caramel aromas. Buttery flavors with a bit of hops and alcohol burn on the finish.

Tap at Moon River, Savannah. It pours pale yellow with a medium white head. The nose is crisp, juicy citrus, white grape, grassy and fresh pine. The taste is bitter-sweet, juicy, zesty citrus, apple, grape, gooseberry and gummi bears with a dry, bitter finish. Medium body and moderate carbonation. A bit underwhelming really... a bit too light and sweet for my liking.

Pours a light bronze, like a watered down iced tea (I like mine darker) with a frothy, white head. It has great clarity. Maybe too clear. Nose is enticing....peaches, light grapefruit, lemon peel, dough, and pine. Very flavorful. Starts sweet and malty and quickly morphs into white fleshed stone fruit, grapefruit, and oranges. Very syrupy and sappy. Some bitterness but not overwhelming. Hard to overcome the maltiness on this one. It does manage to finish with a lingering pungency. Great brew but not very sessionable. It is rich and thick. Solid offering, very enjoyable...but 3 or 4 will do you.

Very good IIPA from a great brewer. On sale and enjoyed. A California style IPA with a lighter body and smooth bitter finish. Leave your pretensions at the door.

Draft at Craftsman Kitchen. Deep golden pour with a bubbly white head. Fruity peach hop aroma with sweet malty backing. Similar in flavor yet kind of muddled flavors and sweetness with a bitter ending. Not terrible.
