COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A burly and bitter Imperial IPA, Rampant pours a pure copper and carries the sheen of a rightly hopped beer. The Mosaic and Calypso hops bring stonefruit to the front seat, and the addition of Centennials nod towards citrus for a well-rounded aroma. The taste expands these hops with heavy peach tones and a profoundly bitter bite. There is some malt sweetness to stand this beer up, and Rampantís finish is bone-dry.

UPDATED: OCT 27, 2013 Iím pretty much speechless. What a terrific IPA. Mild peach flavor with a bit of a bitter hoppy aftertaste. Love it.

Pots a light golden color with just a slight white head. Has a piney citrus hop aroma and a similar taste. Nicely balanced bitterness, solid malt back bone and full of hoops. A great beer. 6 pack from Kroger after late night at work.

Location: 12 oz bottle from Specís - Houston Galleria, 9/24/13

Aroma: The aroma has some grass, pine, and citrus hops, to go along with a biscuity malt
Appearance: It pours a dark orange color with a large beige head and medium lace
Flavor: The flavor is fairly sweet and malty, with some plus bitterness as well
Palate: The body is medium-full, it has a decent mouthfeel, some stickiness, and a dry finish
Overall Impression: I was a little disappointed by this one. This wasnít a bad DIPA, but I was expecting a better example from New Belgium. It lacks the fresh hoppy feel of the better examples of the style.

Burnished gold, thin white head. Nose is tropical fruit, little Belgian yeast. Bitter. Middle is alcohol, green leaves, slightly camalized malt, slight mango. Finish is bitter, a little medicinal. Seems somewhat unbalanced to me.

Bottle poured into a shaker. From notes. Pine and caramel with a decent citrus kick and a hint of tropical fruits. Very good.

For a brewery that didnít start off with these style of beers, this is really good. Strong citrus hops on the nose. Nice amber color with a white fizzy head. Full and dry palate with good carbonation. Balanced and the hops bitterness is pronounced and doesnít leave a feeling as if your palate was sanitized. Good to the last drop.

12 oz. bottle. It pours a clear golden color with a nice white head. The aroma is floral and fruity with lightly sweet honey and cookie maltiness. Sweet bread and hops. Pretty nice. The flavor is very bitter and floral with nice balancing maltiness. Strong bitter finish. The strong malt character does not clash too much with the intense hoppiness. Very nice beer.

Tastes like a 2nd batch, I love hops and donít know what iím doing, homebrew. Great hops, and if this was an agricultural review on hops, would get a high score. As for a beer, this is really raw. N.B. can always make a decent beer so I donít know what they were doing here. Was this a "son-in-law" at the helm brew? Very rough.

Not a big new Belgium guy, but this is a great 6 pack for the dollar ($6.49). Pretty clear, head is average and doesn't stay around. Clean and crisp easy to drink for a higher alcohol content beer. Get it. Cheers. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
