4.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 19/20
A very pleasant Imperial India Pale Ale (IIPA) ((2IPA)). High alcohol content, mellow taste. Possibly New Belgiumís strongest beer to date.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
12oz bottle pours a clear gold with some frothy, white head. Nose is heavy citrus peel, lemon, grapefruit, some pine, dusty. Flavored of malt, grass, lime zest, grapefruit, pine. Fairly straight forward. I like my DIPAs a little more dank. Decent though.

Very tasty, unsure IBUís but ABV is 8.8. Like it better than Ranger and is priced right.

3.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
New Belgium Goblet glass draft pour at Waldo Pizza in Kansas City, Missouri. The pour is a hazed golden orange with a 1/2 inch white head. The aroma is fresh resin hop, pine, and some light tropical fruit. As the beer warms, an aroma of onion skin comes out. The taste is the hops, resin pine, a bit of the onion, in the back it moves towards sweet malt, and a bit of alcohol heat. The palate is medium to light bodied, with soft carbonation, and a lingering hot finish. Good nose, bit too much sweet and booze in the flavor for me.

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Very nice DIPA that hides its ABV well. Floral bouquet after a dingy copper, white-topped pour. Surprisingly sweet in flavor. Hoppy notes are present in abundance, with a dry finish. Not getting nearly any bitterness. I enjoy this beer, but it is not your prototypical IPA, let alone DIPA. The anti-IBU DIPA if you will.
