4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Yum, yum, yum. Beer pours mostly clear, golden color with a BIG, fluffy egg white head. Big hoppy, citrus, pine aroma. Bitter flavor with a bitter finish. Like an amped up Ranger IPA. Very enjoyable!

4.6 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
This is an amazing showcase of hops. The aroma melds citrus, apricots, pineapple and spruce with the promise of sweet carmel malt. It never follows through on that promise; the unrelenting bitterness that replaces it is a multilayered hop experience. This beer gets back to IIPAís origins, hop bomb. They donít need to take the alcohol any higher than its 8.5%, because thereís not supposed to be any "balance." An exemplar of the style with hops that Vinnie hadnít dreamed of when he started down this road.

3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
From bottle. Pours a hazy light copper with some slight, dissipating head. Relaxed nose with some citrus. Smooth and nicely balanced with the peach coming through late. Dry finish with no hint of the elevated abv. Typically interesting brew from NB with the usual quality.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 11/20
Best before July 7, 2013.
It pours a light golden colour with the usual excellence of execution with the foam and lacing that New Belgium presents.
Aromas of citrus hops, borderline tropical fruitiness, with notes of melon and a good malty backbone.
The taste is hoppy but I get more of a melon flavour than citrus, especially in the finish. Iím not a big fan of melon in any form and it seems to add a dankness to this brew that I, personally, could do without.
Some malty sweetness gets in the act here and there as does some light grapefruit but the melon is for sure dominant.
A very nice mouthfeel here and despite my misgivings about the melon, itís easy enough to drink though I doubt Iíll revisit. Give it a shot and see what you think.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Best before 7/7/13. Gorgeous pour: slightly hazy gold with copious amounts of white head. Sticky lace, stubborn retention.
Fresh hop aroma, mildly spiced, creamy malt to finish. But the malt is surprisingly absent on the palate, replaced by fresh, piny hops and resin. Label claims peachy fruits, yet none are present. This is a hop bomb start to finish; more of an imperial single IPA than a true DIPA.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Pours gold-orange with an ENORMOUS head that sits around a very long time. Wonderfully aromatic blend of floral and sundry orange fruits with a hint of malt. Flavor is similar - lots of fruit sweetness up front followed with a surprisingly mellow malt finish. Bitterness and alcohol are there, but they arenít overwhelming. Very tasty DIPA! I see it has a lot of mixed reviews, but a guy at my local craft store raved about it when I purchased it, so we must be getting some nice fresh bombers of this in SW MO, because I think itís great as well.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Aromas of bread, pine sol and citrus. The body is dominated by an almost medicinal pine flavor that isnít altogether unpleasant, just very powerful, leaving only a supporting role for the citrusy tangerine and graprefuit notes that might otherwise shine through. Oily texture, finishing with extremely bitter, vegetal hops that end this brew aggressively. Certainly not striving for finesse, which I can respect, but this isnít even slightly sessionable.

Shared 22oz. Very fresh citrusy hop nose. Citrus hop bite, followed by maltiness, tangerine, peppermint. Well-balanced.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pours a clear honey color with a soapy white head. Aromas is pine sol and citrus. Flavor is a good bit of the same but it doesnít seem really much of a DIPA, just an extra hoppy IPA. Fruit character is bland and there isnít really any malt character either. Overall not bad but nothing really impressive.
