COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A burly and bitter Imperial IPA, Rampant pours a pure copper and carries the sheen of a rightly hopped beer. The Mosaic and Calypso hops bring stonefruit to the front seat, and the addition of Centennials nod towards citrus for a well-rounded aroma. The taste expands these hops with heavy peach tones and a profoundly bitter bite. There is some malt sweetness to stand this beer up, and Rampantís finish is bone-dry.

UPDATED: JUL 24, 2015 Pretty darn good Imperial IPA. Iím from Colorado, but Iím glad we brought it to Florida. Their beer game is catching up, but still lagging behind.

12oz bottle from a 6er. Pours copper amber, white head. Aromaís kinda piney hoppy. Taste is kinda bitter with that characteristic New Belgium meh. Not much to recommend it; other buyers at my local agree by leaving it to moulder on the shelves.

Smells citrusy but not much else behind it. Hops hit right off the bat followed by sweetness and then a good amount of bitterness. Doesn't quite have the kick expected of an imperial IPA but a very decent beer. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Serving: 12 oz. bottle from Wegmans Leesburg. Nice amber pour with a frothy white head. Decent lacing. A mix of pine and citrus in the nose. Hop forward on the tongue with slight pine resin notes and a little ripe orange and grapefruit. Decent malt backbone. Medium bodied with average carbonation. Solid.

UPDATED: OCT 6, 2015 From 22 oz bottle...pours gold with big head. Aroma of light straw hops. Big mouthfeel. Flavors of hay, stray hops, rosted malts, slight cream of tartar. Overall creamy, bold and bitter yet Iíve bought several six packs...I like it much more than the Ranger. Oct 5, 2015 - From 12 oz bottle. Add bright toothpast like flavors, bitter herbs...same overall rating with one notch up in taste.

Nice IPA but i thought the Flying Dog i rated one before had a much more pleasant taste. This one was a little harsher and had more of the big bite to it than the earlier. Still good drinking but not as enjoyable.

Got a similar taste I get from dogfish beers. Think it's coming from a specialty grain, aromatic?
