3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 9/20
Pours golden clear with a frothy white head. Head dissipated quickly but with good lacing. Strong citrus fruit aroma with floral hop smell. Very hop forward taste. Not tasting a whole lot of the malts. Light mouth feel for being a double.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
12oz bottle. Pour is very clear golden color with a big frothy white head. Big grapefruit and pine notes in the aroma. Taste is slightly watered down but still maintains a danky resin feel. As a few others have mentioned, it has a lemony ginger flavor in the finish. Very odd. This is just an OK DIPA.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Slightly hazy golden with a small head. The aorma is resiny, with some tropical fruit, grapefruit, maybe cantaloupe, with no detectable malt. The flavor is simlar, with some sweet crystal matl and a lot more grapefruit. Bitter finish, very tasty.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle. A nice deep gold with a bright white head. Massive grapefruit and pine resin in the nose. Notes of flowers are also present along with almonds. This tastes like floral almonds and peanuts. Notes of crust and flowers are also present. This feels fairly light in the mouth. Surprisingly tasty with minimal malt body at the same time the hops is restrained. Well done by NB.

2.9 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
A decent example of the double ipa style. bitterness lingers on the tongue, not getting any grapefruit or citrus overtones, very aromatic smell, alcohol not overpowering at 8.5 ABV, nice lacing, nothing to compete with Hopslam however

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
22 oz bottle. Pours a translucent dark gold color with a quickly dissipating white head. Aroma of citrus, honey, and pine. Taste is bittersweet. Pine and citrus hops hit you first then the sweet malts, honey and caramel. Hops definitely are not as forward as I would have liked. A bit thin for an Imperial IPA. Still enjoyable as all New Belgium’s are. Dry finish.

4.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 19/20
Draft: Grapefruit and pine needle nose, slightly feety. Shimmering amber, medium head. Mango, greenery, grapefruit peel. Rosehips, pronounced in the finish. Very dynamic and complex, unique tropical notes not found in most IPAs. Drinks very green, as if it had been wet-hopped.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pours a orange honey color with an active and airy head. Creamy smooth with spice, and bitter on the finish. Very unique hop profile. Hoppy, dank, and sweet at the beginning, then spicy, vegetal, and bitter on the finish. Very strange at first, but it kinda wears on you.

3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Light citrus nose. Taste is not what I expect from a imperial ipa. Thought hops was week. Stonefruit palate some citrus. Finish is bitter. Nothing special

2.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
12oz bottle poured into a Snifter at 40°. Color is bright gold with mellow carbonation and a big rocky head. Aroma of fresh hops and lemon zest. It has a medium body with a sharp mouth feel. Flavor is pine, lemon zest and ginger backed with a bold bitterness. After taste is more bitterness as the pine hangs with some hop spice. Overall its not very good, flavors are harsh and don’t seem to meld well.
