3.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
New Belgium Goblet glass draft pour at Waldo Pizza in Kansas City, Missouri. The pour is a hazed golden orange with a 1/2 inch white head. The aroma is fresh resin hop, pine, and some light tropical fruit. As the beer warms, an aroma of onion skin comes out. The taste is the hops, resin pine, a bit of the onion, in the back it moves towards sweet malt, and a bit of alcohol heat. The palate is medium to light bodied, with soft carbonation, and a lingering hot finish. Good nose, bit too much sweet and booze in the flavor for me.

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Very nice DIPA that hides its ABV well. Floral bouquet after a dingy copper, white-topped pour. Surprisingly sweet in flavor. Hoppy notes are present in abundance, with a dry finish. Not getting nearly any bitterness. I enjoy this beer, but it is not your prototypical IPA, let alone DIPA. The anti-IBU DIPA if you will.

12oz bottle. Rating #215. Wasnít a huge fan of this, I though it was a little underwhelming, mild hops and not much bite too it. (2677)

4.3 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
With the plethora of Imperial IPAs on the market these days, its easy to be a little underwhelmed by many of the offerings out there. This Rampant, however, really delivers the goods, for my taste anyway. The hop selection in this beer delivers a resinous pine, citrus and peach combo balanced with a nice malty backbone. This is a really solid double I.P.A and great addition to, the already stellar, New Belgium line.

Poured a golden orange color with 2-3 fingers of long-lasting pillowy white head. Bubbly liquid. Plenty of circular, foamy and layered lacing on the sides all the way down. Good retention all the way down, long and lasting.
Smelled a potent whiff of bitter hops right way. Not sure about exact hops, but generic hops were a mix between skunky resin, citrus (grapefruit) and floral. All smells come to an abrupt finish.
Tasted that 8.50 percent alcohol right away. No hiding that for sure. Taste wasnít really like the smell, except for that massive bitter hops. Seemed to onion or radish, which is something I donít think Iíve ever written in a beer review. Also garlic? Still some resin hops in there, but I guess there is a thing called vegetable hops. If not, there is now. Still some grapefruit citrus hops in there, albeit light.
Light-to-medium body. Creamy texture. Average carbonation. Abrupt, bitter finish.
This was an OK beer, but I was expecting something a bit better. It started that way, but the onion, radish and garlic trifecta may have swayed my opinion a bit.

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
Clear golden copper pour w/ lingering white head. Strong citrus & floral notes w/ pine and buttered biscuit. Med body w/ crisp yet subtle carb. Lt malty sweetness w/ nice hop punch that stays balanced throughout. I really like this one. Dangerously drinkable @ 8.5%.

4.3 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Brilliant clear golden light copper, short head leaving some light froth with some lacing.
Fantastic aroma, pungent, dankness, sweet ripe fruit,garlic-spicey pine, floral complexity, pretty euphoric. Some herbal-raw hoppiness.Havent had an aroma in an ipa this vivid in a while-very nice and fresh most likely.
The beer is like an amped up Ranger, kinda like I was expecting,so in my opinion I really like Ranger and this is Ranger squared. With more malt strength but same body and same dry finish.Has more raw earthy grassyish-herbalish hoppy flavor also.MOre of an Up front bitterness which fades shortyly without linger.NOtice a raw hoppiness in this that I rarely get in other commercial IIPAís. Very enjoyable.Didnt really get the peach tones but did get some ripe fruit/maybe more of a tropical.

3.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 11/20
It poured a clear pale gold color with a white head. The aroma was of apricot, oranges and some grapefruit. The taste was similar with a medium body and a nice crispy texture. Very tasty.
