A burly and bitter Imperial IPA, Rampant pours a pure copper and carries the sheen of a rightly hopped beer. The Mosaic and Calypso hops bring stonefruit to the front seat, and the addition of Centennials nod towards citrus for a well-rounded aroma. The taste expands these hops with heavy peach tones and a profoundly bitter bite. There is some malt sweetness to stand this beer up, and Rampantís finish is bone-dry.

Bottle. I get floral and grapefruit. Dark golden with thin head and decent lacing. Flavor is sweet then bitter. Slick, moderate bitter finish.

Pints on tap. Hazy, golden pear color with a lasting cover of cream. Dank herb, starches, caramel, resin and grapefruit in the aroma. Flavors are grapefruit, caramel, green herb, and resin. Medium body is well balanced, has medium carbonation and is dangerously drinkable.

Sour aroma. Clear darker golden color. Slight tang and bitter taste at first then and second zing of citrus every time. Still, the bitter after taste is a bit overwhelming and i fear itís all iíll taste for the rest of the night. Itís aiight.

Didn't get a ton of aroma. Very slight hoppy smell but not much else comes to mind. Not much head. Maybe More my fault wet glass and my fridge is probably colder than most. The 8.5% abv attracted me to this but I have to say its pretty much a basic no thrills ipa. It's good and great for catching a buzz but maybe not for the one looking for something new. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle. Clear, golden pour with a large frothy white head. Citrus and light floral aroma. Surprisingly malty and peach flavors in the initial taste, eventually fades to a heavy floral finish. Average carbonation with a sticky texture. Pretty evenly balanced for an IPA as it doesnít leave that heavy malt bite on your tastebuds.

A very nice DIPA. Aroma of piney citrus and resins. Taste is well balanced with great bitter finish and some pleasant fruit notes; dry finish echoes the Ranger IPA product line nicely.

12 oz bottle pours a bright, clear orange with a sticky, frothy white head. Aroma is citrus, linalool, a bit earthy, some sulfur and the dreaded diacetyl. Flavor is citrus, more earthiness, and some grapefruit rind sweet/bitterness in the finish. Not much of a kick as far as dipas go, but pretty pleasant.

Poured from bottle at the Limerick Pub in Wheaton, MD. Clear, whiskey color with a large off-white head and excellent lacing. Aroma of grass, grain, biscuit, pine and caramel. Fairly sweet and a bit earthy. Fairly mild and not aggressively hoppy. Taste of pine, caramel, grass, light fruit and sweet orange. More fruity and sweet than hoppy. Medium/light body medium/low carbonization. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
