A burly and bitter Imperial IPA, Rampant pours a pure copper and carries the sheen of a rightly hopped beer. The Mosaic and Calypso hops bring stonefruit to the front seat, and the addition of Centennials nod towards citrus for a well-rounded aroma. The taste expands these hops with heavy peach tones and a profoundly bitter bite. There is some malt sweetness to stand this beer up, and Rampant’s finish is bone-dry.

Pours a clear medium golden. Good size bubbles and a nice off white head. Nice hop aroma with a bit of citrus. Very smooth in the mouth and more crisp than many imperial IPAs. Nice bitter hops with grass and maybe a bit of grapefruit. Pretty good beer overall.

Bottle. Pours a golden color with white head. Citrus, grassy, orange, hoppy, fruity flavors. Grassy, floral, hoppy flavors. Another solid IPA from New Belgium, but it isn’t something that I am going to go out of my way to get again.

Pretty yellow for a so-called copper. Plenty of hops in the body, mostly of the battering variety, but not quite over the top. Finishes nicely. A good solid IPA.

Clear, pale gold with a frothy, white head. The aroma has fruity apricot, orange juice, and light grapefruit. It has a medium body with lively carbonation and a fairly crisp texture. There is some sweetness in the taste at first, but this eventually gives way to a dry, bitter finish.

Bottle. Clear dark yellow with white head. Aroma and flavor are grassy hops, pretty weird flavor. Not great, very glad I bought a single,.not a 6er.

Bottle. Clear dark yellow pour, decent frothy 1/2 inch head and an aroma of boozy hoppy pears. Flavor is woody and slightly orangey & piney hops and finished nice and bitter. At $10 a 6 pack, I’ll be back for this one.

Bottle. Pours a clear copperish color with a moderate white head. Nose is quite hoppy, with some clean citrus notes coming through. Taste has some good bitterness in there, with some subtle fruity sweetness up front. Very interesting beer...

Pours a nice golden color with a small white head that fades fast. Aroma is full of Centennial citrus notes with a light pine later. Flavor has an early earthy presence that is quickly overtaken by grapefruit and pine notes with some mild sweetness from the malt. Body is light/modest with a nice dryness to it. Overall a pretty good good brew. The alcohol isn’t a factor and the hops stand out very nicely in the brew.

One of the lighter doubles I have ever tasted. Nice and bitter. Worth another buy. Tasted in bomber. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

I solid hop flavor. Definitely a nice brew out of a brewery that I look to less often. I like a fair number of New Belgium beers and should given them credit for consistency. This beer is definitely good to add to your standard, regularly available, tasty IPAs.
