COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A burly and bitter Imperial IPA, Rampant pours a pure copper and carries the sheen of a rightly hopped beer. The Mosaic and Calypso hops bring stonefruit to the front seat, and the addition of Centennials nod towards citrus for a well-rounded aroma. The taste expands these hops with heavy peach tones and a profoundly bitter bite. There is some malt sweetness to stand this beer up, and Rampantís finish is bone-dry.

This is an amazing showcase of hops. The aroma melds citrus, apricots, pineapple and spruce with the promise of sweet carmel malt. It never follows through on that promise; the unrelenting bitterness that replaces it is a multilayered hop experience. This beer gets back to IIPAís origins, hop bomb. They donít need to take the alcohol any higher than its 8.5%, because thereís not supposed to be any "balance." An exemplar of the style with hops that Vinnie hadnít dreamed of when he started down this road.

Draught @ Milk and Hops - Chelsea. Slighty cloudy rich golden yellow with small foamy off-white head, floral hops aroma, low carbonation, slightly sweet citrus peel taste, thickish smooth body, medium bitter finish. Very smooth and fulfilling DIPA.

A beautiful beer, dark gold, thick, foamy, off white head, resilient and lacey. Aroma of pine, resin and souring apples. I was expecting more of a punch from this on the back end... But it was still pretty yummy.... Sweet malts, cherry notes, piney hops, all with a creamy feel to it.

Rather different from the usual twists on the style and I liked it. Light and flavorful, soft palate. Tropical nose with some grainy nose. Soft sweet, lemony palate, yes peaches too. Late full hoppiness. Clear gold with fluffy white head and thick retention.

lemon grapefruit dough pine perhaps some floral quality in the pleasant aroma..looks lika an IPA should slightly cloudy amber orange pure white filmy head plenty of lacing,,taste of lemon grapefruit peppery spice bit dry and astringent just a hint of malt character more on the yeasty bready side anyway with a long bitter finish..dry and medium bodied this is mostly for hop fans and I am one so I like it but some may call it a hop bomb or find its bitterness to be off putting rather than refreshing,as I did

UPDATED: APR 9, 2016 Draft at Eulogy. Clear amber pour. Slim off-white head with a long cover. Notes of earthy forest floor, dark bruised peaches. Caramel apples. Somewhat juicy. Spicy finish. Nicely full. Well worth a stop or two.
