COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A burly and bitter Imperial IPA, Rampant pours a pure copper and carries the sheen of a rightly hopped beer. The Mosaic and Calypso hops bring stonefruit to the front seat, and the addition of Centennials nod towards citrus for a well-rounded aroma. The taste expands these hops with heavy peach tones and a profoundly bitter bite. There is some malt sweetness to stand this beer up, and Rampant’s finish is bone-dry.

Pours a very clear golden with lots of fluffy, white head that stuck around for a long time and there is nice lacing. Aroma is mainly pine with some citrus, peach and floral notes. Taste is a bitter pine (but not a hop bomb like many DIPAs) with just a hint of caramel malt. Light to medium bodied with a very dry finish. I would never expect this was 8.5% abv and it reminds me more of an IPA than a DIPA. A decent beer but it needs some more complexity.

12 oz bottle into glass. Pours a kind of flat, uninteresting looking golden straw color with a slightly fizzy, white head. Floral pine, grapefruit, solid malt sweetness and a pleasant, bitter-but-not-overpowering dry finish. Medium body, medium stickiness. Seems "lighter" for 8.5%. Surprisingly good for New Belgium.

Pours a slightly hazy copper color with a fair head. Aroma of pine and grapefruit with bit of malt sweetness and grain. Taste of pine, citrus, malt sweetness and grain. Nice bitterness and a bit of lingering pine. Medium body, crisp and well balanced. Nice beer for the style.

From the bottle: nice clarity, it’s light orange with a slight green hue. inch and a half of of white, slightly green/ tan tinted. aroma is a definite hop bomb; orange, grapefruit, pine. slightly syrupy, flavor of molasses, some aspirin bitterness, grapefruit rind. The abv is pretty well hidden. It’s a delicious IIPA.

Lacks a floral or hoppy aroma but packs a bitter, floral, and fruity finish. From the tongue to the finish a strong bitterness. Impressed with the punch of bitterness - it's a palate ruining IBU finish. Bottle. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

As I drink more and more of these high alchohol beers, I break them down this way. Is it true to the style and does the alcohol overwhelm the beer. In this case true to style and alcohol in integrated well.

This golden beer has a pine aroma. It has a very strong bite upfront and mellows with some sweetness like peaches. It leaves you with a pleasing aftertaste. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Appearance has a light golden yellow color supporting a healthy head leaving fair lace. Smell of resiny hops with a sweet malt aroma. Taste as with the aroma has a nice resiny grapefruit hoppiness supported by a sweet backbone of malt. Mouthfeel is medium with good carbonation.

Pretty good. Got a six-pack of bottles. On the pale side, but plenty of hoppy flavour.

12 oz. bottle. Pours a copper/gold color with a 1/2" off white head that leaves some lacing. Aroma is citrus with some pine in the background. The taste carries the citrus notes along with a bit of malt. Finish is dry, alcohol hidden. Good entry! ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
