A burly and bitter Imperial IPA, Rampant pours a pure copper and carries the sheen of a rightly hopped beer. The Mosaic and Calypso hops bring stonefruit to the front seat, and the addition of Centennials nod towards citrus for a well-rounded aroma. The taste expands these hops with heavy peach tones and a profoundly bitter bite. There is some malt sweetness to stand this beer up, and Rampant’s finish is bone-dry.

Light haze on this amber beer. Small pale cream coloured head. Light grass on the snout. Palate is light with good fine minerally carbonation. Light malt base, a little cream. Rich hops - grass, pine and a little skunk. Whisper of mint and tropical fruits and peach. This is very much a grassy, piney skunk IPA. Finishes soft. Effortlessly drinkable!

Hazy dark blond color with small head. Nice aroma, cereals, and some hop resins. Lean mouthfeel; cereally malt flavor, some hop resins, some citrus fruit peel; strong bitterness.
Easy to drink, good beer, not particularly fresh or amazing though.

Bottle, 12oz. It pours a clear, dark golden body and a finger-thick, dense, off-white head leaving some cute curtains. Immediately after popping the cap, the wonderful scent of aromatic American hops hits the nose, with grapefruit, green pine cones and a generic citrusy touch. Some malty scents and a little alcohol too, but not much. It’s quite full-bodied, with a nice level of carbonation. It could maybe have had a bit more bitterness, but then, it’s not so sweet that it needs it. Grapefruit and pine cones runs the rest of the show, lasting for a good while. Overall, most definitely a beer I could have again, a quite balanced and easy drinkable IIPA. 130831

Bottle split at Christine and Daves thanks to DLJ, 26/11/13. Lightly hazed golden amber with a good sized off white head that retains very well till the drink was extinguished - this beer looks the absolute bollocks ! Nose is bitter orange, grapefruit, tangy tropical dipped straw, caramel malt. Taste comprises orange pith, bitter grapefruit, touch of pine, caramel malt. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, dry grassy semi aggressive hop bitterness in the finish. Decent easy drinking DIPA, clean with well integrated alcohol, never gets sticky.

Clear golden orange pour with a nice white head. Grapefruit, pine, and floral hops. Bright citrus, a touch of pineapple, and some pine. Lightly grassy and sweet. The flavor is dry and crisp with just a hint of bread sweetness. Grass, flowers, and lots of grapefruit zest. Some orange, pine, and a little bit of bitterness on the finish.

Hazy blonde. Aroma has some phenols - pool cleaner- with pear and other orchard fruit. Touch of the same orchard fruit character. Kind of a light character.
