COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A burly and bitter Imperial IPA, Rampant pours a pure copper and carries the sheen of a rightly hopped beer. The Mosaic and Calypso hops bring stonefruit to the front seat, and the addition of Centennials nod towards citrus for a well-rounded aroma. The taste expands these hops with heavy peach tones and a profoundly bitter bite. There is some malt sweetness to stand this beer up, and Rampantís finish is bone-dry.

Didn't get a ton of aroma. Very slight hoppy smell but not much else comes to mind. Not much head. Maybe More my fault wet glass and my fridge is probably colder than most. The 8.5% abv attracted me to this but I have to say its pretty much a basic no thrills ipa. It's good and great for catching a buzz but maybe not for the one looking for something new. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Six pack from Manchester CT. Pours out a clear light golden amber. Thin off white head. Aroma and flavor is very herbal and earthy with some pine, tropical fruit and citrus. Some sweet boozy malts in the middle. Long bittersweet finish. A little too funky for me.

Puts golden amber from the bottle. Fine white head. Dry piney nose. Citrus fruit up front. A little honey tied to a clean hop resin through the middle balanced nicely. Finish brings a lemony booze whang.

Draft at SB. Pours a slightly hazy medium orange-y amber with a loose white head. Light orange peel and lots of caramel on the nose, with a bit of peanuts in the background. Creamy medium body with moderate carb. Grapefruit, caramel, and a nutty note on the mid palate. Given how present and even explosive many NB IPAs have been over the last couple years, this one is surprisingly restrained, even timid.

Clear yellow-gold color. A big head sticks around with a vigorous half-pour. The nose is pine and a rather biscuity malt backbone. A little prickly with a citrus nose at the end. Sharp hops. There is a touch of plastic/band-aid, but minimal. The flavor is severe metallic alcohol, followed by bitter hops. The hops are more leafy, maybe sagebrush? The hops are not very sweet in the flavor. Perhaps a touch of mint. The feel is rounded and malty. There is a serious alkaline/battery burn on the way down. Itís kind of an average Imperial. Itís chock full of alcohol, but itís not all that complex.

Stone fruit and tropical citrus on the nose. Tastes like fresh grapefruit in a pine forest, with a little caramel malt on the side. Smooth but with a big bite. Balanced and Bitter.

Bottle, Enjoy By 10JUL16. Nose nice and hoppy, rind and a little tropical, with faint soap and resin, slightly stronger pine. Pours ultra-clear golden with a large beige head. Lightly oily, highly perfumed in the mouth, full body but not fat, strong alcohol heft but no numbing or warmth, just a hint of excess sugar and green character from the hops; faintest paper, light lotion under the citrus with smooth medium bitterness. Clean with a little bite by the finish and outright kick into the long aftertaste. Quite well-made and reminiscent of earlier IIPAs, but thereís also an íImperial Pilsnerí vibe that makes my palate reject these hops. Iíd say itís worth it for a single 12oz bottle, sure.
