COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A burly and bitter Imperial IPA, Rampant pours a pure copper and carries the sheen of a rightly hopped beer. The Mosaic and Calypso hops bring stonefruit to the front seat, and the addition of Centennials nod towards citrus for a well-rounded aroma. The taste expands these hops with heavy peach tones and a profoundly bitter bite. There is some malt sweetness to stand this beer up, and Rampant’s finish is bone-dry.

Pours a light amber with a fluffy white head. Aroma of grassy hops, some citrus. Taste is pretty smooth with good malt, definite hop spice. Pretty nice palate for how bitter it is. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

2015-08-29. Lightly hazy dark golden body, nice large creamy off-white head. Aroma is mild at first, perhaps a bit cold. Light fruit and grass, pale malt. Flavour has a sweet core, good amount of bitterness that grows in the aftertaste, moderate fruit and light green hop character, mild grassy notes. Light tropical fruit and grassy resin as it warms? Moderate alcohol throughout seems amplified by the bitterness, which is cumulative. Smooth average plus to medium bodied palate. 3+ Enjoyable Bottle from Ye Old Spirit Shop, Frederick, MD.

Bottle in Seattle. More golden yellow, rather clear, some white foam. Clean, grassy resin hop. Mild by my standards but very inviting. Resiny dense first sip, medium bitter with good juicy, thick resin. Drier finish. Pretty darn nice.

Bottle from Chevy Chase Supermarket. Nice amber body with medium head. Nose is plenty of hoppy, citrus and peach. Taste is also hops, caramel, lots of spices. Really nice.

Bottle: Clear orange gold with a very faint white head and lacing. Aroma is fruity - grapefruit and apricot. The flavor also has some caramel maltiness to it. The taste is slightly bitter with an astringent finish as well. Very good IPA.

Nice hoppy taste, however there was a slight metalic taste out of the bottle. Despite it being a strong IPA it still has a light drinkable taste. Nothing wrong with it at all, but i wouldn’t write home about it.

12 oz. bottle from Bottled; drink by date of 8/9/15. Aroma: Moderate peach that tends towards acetone; moderate to heavy sweetness; lighter herbal quality. Appearance: Light copper pour with average carbonation holding up a foamy white head; the head eventually settles into a lightly bubbly skin. Flavor: Acetone is more noticeable than in the nose; sweetness is still going strong, and even increases towards the finish; herbal hops come in more toward the finish, but do nothing to quench the sweetness. Palate: Medium body, sticky texture, average carbonation, lingering/bitter finish. Overall: I’m guessing this would be much better fresh, but it’s still within date... it shouldn’t be this bad. Would not recommend purchasing so close to the bottle’s "drink by" date.

Sampled from bottle @ Leuven Innovation Beer Festival. Clear golden color, small white head. Smell and taste malts, hops, perfumy, sweetish, lightly bitter. Hmm not a very good DIPA.

Bottle. One of the best values around. Poured a copper color with a touch of gold; compact frothy head. Aroma of citrus, sugar, grapefruit, and fruit punch. Flavor was vibrant, if not abrupt. Orange and citrus and earthy. Briefly strong hops but mild finish

Bottle thanks to Ben! Pours a clear pale gold with a white head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has a good of resin and pine with a bit of onion and a grain backbone. Flavor combines earthy grain, pine and a bit of resin with some grass underlying.

Great smelling hops and caramel. Color is a warm, inviting, mellow amber. This is one smooth brew. Foamed well. Citrus notes and a twist of bitterness but in just the right amount to balance it out. New Belgium does it again. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
