COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A burly and bitter Imperial IPA, Rampant pours a pure copper and carries the sheen of a rightly hopped beer. The Mosaic and Calypso hops bring stonefruit to the front seat, and the addition of Centennials nod towards citrus for a well-rounded aroma. The taste expands these hops with heavy peach tones and a profoundly bitter bite. There is some malt sweetness to stand this beer up, and Rampant’s finish is bone-dry.

Poured into a tulip from a 12 oz bottle, clear golden with a large white head. Nose was funky citrus, mostly orange, possibly ripe peach. Taste was bitter, just a hint of sweetness. Overall I was surprised, for the cost it was more than drinkable.

Poured from a 12. Appearance is lighter than I would expect from an Imperial. The aroma is your standard DIPA with a sweet nose. Flavor is slightly piney balanced out by a nice malty flavor.

33 cl bottle, Ann Arbor, MI, USA. Clear gold, citrus spruce resin aroma. More subdued flavour than I thought, balanced and sweet with citrus and lively hop finish.

650ml bottle to tulip glass, the beer pours a transparent gold color with a bright white head. Aroma is strong and consists of citrus, resin, tree sap, cut grass, slight mint and some floral notes... but a little predictable. Taste is hop forward but doesn’t feel like 85IBU. That said the hop flavour is well done and there isn’t any sweetness to speak of as it’s very faint. Palate wise the beer is quite drinkable. Nice and dry, carbo is medium, body is light. Overall: Nothing super mind blowing but still quite nice. However the bottle is a month past the best before which makes me wonder if that takes from the bitterness a bit. Still a nice drinking beer.

Poured from a 12oz bottle with a date of 3/2/2014 - about 8.5 months old. Aroma - Orangey. What I would expect from an IPA that sat too long. Appearance - Golden color with some a half finger of fluffy white head. Taste - Malty, orangy...medium mouth feel. Palate - sticky and lively. Lots of carbonation. Overall - I know it’s a better beer fresh. My fault for letting it sit too long.

Drank as celebration we were having a boy. Pours a light amber frothy head. Freshest aromas of pure chinook hops, almost like a half an oz was put into the bottle directly. Has the pine, light medicinal herbal aromas and slight peach. Flavors mostly strong pine, slight peach, and some stone fruit. High bitter, lightly sweet. No alcohol noticed.

Very good and very potent IPA. Great aroma and very smooth drinkable taste. New Belgium even calls it bitter, but I did not find it very bitter. Golden in color.

Draught at 3 Små Rum, Göteborg, on November 11, 2014.
Clear golden color, small off-white head. Caramelly sweet, hoppy citrus, toasted, light spicy/leafy herbal scent. Sweet, bitter, carmamel, hoppy, resin taste. Resin, bitter, pith aftertaste. Sort of fizzy mouthfeel, high bitterness.

Pleasant aroma but the flavor is too one-sided on the heavily bitter pine and has a not so pleasant perfumy taste that comes through again in the soapy texture. Some alcohol shines through on the finish.
