A burly and bitter Imperial IPA, Rampant pours a pure copper and carries the sheen of a rightly hopped beer. The Mosaic and Calypso hops bring stonefruit to the front seat, and the addition of Centennials nod towards citrus for a well-rounded aroma. The taste expands these hops with heavy peach tones and a profoundly bitter bite. There is some malt sweetness to stand this beer up, and Rampant’s finish is bone-dry.

Pours golden (not copper) with a solid layer of creamy white head. There is a floral soapy hop dominance in both the aroma and taste. Soft texture and quite drinkable. A nice affordable 6-pack...I really feel like NB redeemed an otherwise dull set of releases as of late.

Nice mass-produced big IPA. Dark golden color. Aroma is peachy and piney. The taste is very dank and very sweet, with lots of peach and malt. A little much for me, but not too heavy considering the abv. Good stuff.

bottle. Pours clear golden with a medium head that dininishes quickly and doesn’t leave as much lacing as I’d like. Aroma is pure grass, very thick and hop-forward. The taste is slightly sweet, moderately bitter, slightly salty. The mouthfeel is a tad too thin and there are some phenolic notes in the finish. A little rough around the edges for NB.

One of the better mass-produced IPA's that I've tasted. Definitely a good choice. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bomber bought @ Leuven Beer Innovation.

12 oz bottle served in a tulip. The beer pours a hazy straw colored yellow with a thin white head that leaves decent lacing. Aroma is floral hops up front, with lemon, orange candy, and something somewhat off putting, I just can’t put my finger on it. It’s very sour. Taste is a slight improvement. Tons of pine, grapefruit, and sour lemons. The only problem is, it doesn’t transition to anything. There is no malt backbone to speak of, and it’s a very one dimensional beer. Mouthfeel is average density and it’s somewhat sticky. Mild booze presence. I wonder if my bottle was bad, despite it being fairly fresh. This beer was a let down.

Gelblich, leuchtend. In der Nase Honig, Kiefernnadeln, minimale Säure. AM gaumen direkt bitter, recht trocken, harzig, etwas dünn, ok.

15cl sample from bottle at the Leuven Innovation Beer Festival (25 V 2015). Amber, orange-brown coloured hazy brew with hopped flavours. The beer is a bit hazy, with a small collar on top. Lovely citrus to lemon taste with dry bitter finish. A lovely medium bodied IPA, for sure. Note to myself: try this again - the beer notes were on the brink of getting nonsensical.

UPDATED: JUN 4, 2015 Aroma of peach and toffee with herbal undertones. Clear golden color, frothy off white head, smooth carbonation. Flavor is much like the aroma and bottle description: herbal with hints of peach, stone fruits, light caramelization; moderate bitterness overall. Alcohol is hidden, but catches up with you quickly! Medium body, calm and smooth texture. Very balanced and really easy to drink at 8.5% ABV!

Another beer that doesn’t have to stop to change colors. Piney citrus aroma, maybe a hint of malt. Better flavor than Ranger, not as bitter. Next time I see a New Belgium brew in the store, I’ll leave it there.
