COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A burly and bitter Imperial IPA, Rampant pours a pure copper and carries the sheen of a rightly hopped beer. The Mosaic and Calypso hops bring stonefruit to the front seat, and the addition of Centennials nod towards citrus for a well-rounded aroma. The taste expands these hops with heavy peach tones and a profoundly bitter bite. There is some malt sweetness to stand this beer up, and Rampantís finish is bone-dry.

12 oz bottle. Pours clear straw gold with a big fluffy white head that retains well and laces the glass.

The aroma is a lot of plasticky onion with some dank peppery hops and a little sweet malt.

The flavor is a little sweet bready malt followed by a ton of vegetal plasticky green onion that has decent bitterness. The mouthfeel is medium bodied and a bit watery.

Overall, I donít care for this at all. Itís a bunch of watery onioney / garlicky hops (summit?). Like a very poor manís Gubna. From reading other reviews, I wondered if I got a bad one, since all I get is onion and no fruity piney hops. But the 6 pack tasted the same - I dumped one of them. It tasted similar on draft too, just more subdued and watery.

As I drink more and more of these high alchohol beers, I break them down this way. Is it true to the style and does the alcohol overwhelm the beer. In this case true to style and alcohol in integrated well.

This golden beer has a pine aroma. It has a very strong bite upfront and mellows with some sweetness like peaches. It leaves you with a pleasing aftertaste. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Appearance has a light golden yellow color supporting a healthy head leaving fair lace. Smell of resiny hops with a sweet malt aroma. Taste as with the aroma has a nice resiny grapefruit hoppiness supported by a sweet backbone of malt. Mouthfeel is medium with good carbonation.

Pretty good. Got a six-pack of bottles. On the pale side, but plenty of hoppy flavour.

12 oz. bottle. Pours a copper/gold color with a 1/2" off white head that leaves some lacing. Aroma is citrus with some pine in the background. The taste carries the citrus notes along with a bit of malt. Finish is dry, alcohol hidden. Good entry! ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Aroma: Floral, pine and resin hop aromas. Very aromatic. Appearance: Pale gold with a rich white head. Taste: Light sweetness balance by a medium bitterness. Not too overpowering. Palate: Medium body, slick texture, average carbonation, long finish. Overall: A very solid, well developed beer. The hops are balanced nicely so they donít overpower the beer, but are still readily apparent. Well done.

Pours clear amber with a medium beige head, excellent retention, very fine lacing. Pine resin, grass, caramel, biscuit aromas with some floral notes and a hint of citrus. Medium body, velvety and smooth. Mild sweetness, lasting medium dry bitter finish. A solid double IPA, well rounded and not too aggressive.

Bottle poured a clear deep gold hue w/ big bright white head lacing and cap. Bold hop aromas. Initial flavor is moderate sweet w/a bold bitter finish. Tastes are pine, peach, grass, and hay. Full bodied. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bomber. Pours a clear, golden straw with a frothy bright white cap and big bubble lacing. Aroma of resinous pine, citrus rind, caramel, and a bit of double bubble gum (which I guess is a chalky candied wetness). Taste is sweet with a big punch of bitter. Gritty, sticky palate. Dry finish, but not really long.
