0.9 AROMA 1/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 1/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 2/20
12 oz bottle. Pours clear straw gold with a big fluffy white head that retains well and laces the glass.
The aroma is a lot of plasticky onion with some dank peppery hops and a little sweet malt.
The flavor is a little sweet bready malt followed by a ton of vegetal plasticky green onion that has decent bitterness. The mouthfeel is medium bodied and a bit watery.
Overall, I donít care for this at all. Itís a bunch of watery onioney / garlicky hops (summit?). Like a very poor manís Gubna. From reading other reviews, I wondered if I got a bad one, since all I get is onion and no fruity piney hops. But the 6 pack tasted the same - I dumped one of them. It tasted similar on draft too, just more subdued and watery.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pours clear pale amber with two fingers of dense off-white head, good retention and excellent lacing. (4/5) Nose is citrus and pine resin, caramel malt, floral, mild stone fruit. (7/10) Taste is moderate sweet, moderately strong bitter, mild pepper spice. (7/10) Medium body and slightly oily texture, moderate carbonation, lingering bitter and slightly peppery finish. (4/5)
Big and beefy, but without the degree of malt forwardness I often associate with some IIPAís. Initially decently well-balanced between the hops and the malt, with the big hops taking over in a lingering bitter and peppery finish. Iíd like brighter citrusy hops, personally, but quite serviceable as it stands. (15/20)

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
For an Imperial IPA the smell has a strong malty smell along with the citrus hops smell. Color is copper with a thin lacing Not getting the peach mentioned. I get a bit of citrus, and strong pine at the back. A bit of sweet malt underneath. As it warms I get more of a grapefruit flavor to it. Overall it is a pretty decent IPA and good for the price point.

Smells like any IPA. But my gosh! This a strong one...strong citrusy and piney hops. Complex hop bitterness.

4.6 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Smells like a flower garden with a slightly citrus note. Golden amber with a forever lasting white head. Extremely complex hop bitterness in the aftertaste, great sparkling palate with a medium body to balance out the dry finish. Not over the top in any way other than quality and flavor, just wonderful. Extremely fresh tasting.

3.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bottle pour into Goblet. Half-inch head faded out pretty quickly, but leaves nice lacing. Aroma is hops, hops, and a hint of floral and citrus notes. Appearance is golden with a slight reddish tint, not quite as deep as copper. Taste is, as expected, very hop forward, sweet and bitter but very clean and with an abrupt end with just a slight soft lingering bitterness. Medium body with a slightly oily texture. Carbonation is visible but not fizzy, nor flat -- average I guess if there really is such a thing with IPAs. You may note I use a lot of modifiers here. This is a complex beer but the bottom line this is a pretty sublime IPA and if youíre into those sorts of things you should try this brew.
