A burly and bitter Imperial IPA, Rampant pours a pure copper and carries the sheen of a rightly hopped beer. The Mosaic and Calypso hops bring stonefruit to the front seat, and the addition of Centennials nod towards citrus for a well-rounded aroma. The taste expands these hops with heavy peach tones and a profoundly bitter bite. There is some malt sweetness to stand this beer up, and Rampantís finish is bone-dry.

Pours clear gold with a huge frothy white head. Dank musty aroma with citrus notes. Orange, lemon peel, grapefruit, and tropical fruit flavors. Smooth mouthfeel with medium carbonation. Finishes very dry.

Pours clear, golden, bit of white foam leaving white and sticky lacings. Carbonation is persistent but does not create too much extra foam. Aroma is sweet and fruity, somewhat high viscosity already in the nose. Fresh and grassy. Taste hits you with full on hop presence. This is intense! Tropical fruits that are dipped into hop sugar glazing and made into a beer. Intense resiny taste that lingers and ends up quite dry. Alcohol is well hidden with the hops. I guess that some sugars are left unfermented as there is huge sweetness also - but compared with hops that is not much and feels dry. Bitter beast, definitely enjoyable.

From a party: pours orange gold with a white head. Aroma is flowers, fruit, and a hint of pine. Moderately bitter. Low sweetness and easy to drink. Not bad.

Not sure about the brew date, but poured from a bottle to a tulip 2 months before the "enjoy by" date. Pleasant grassy, piney aroma, but it all goes downhill in the taste. There were odd off tastes I couldnít quite place, it was almost soapy. I was worried it was my glassware and tried it straight from the bottle, and had the exact same experience. Drain pour, but if I really wanted the alcohol I could have finished it.

Pour from a 12oz bottle. Not sure how old this bottle is. Ok nose, some stone fruit with the hops. Very malt forward. Nice mouthfeel. Pretty good, but I felt that the hops could have been more pungent in both the nose and the taste (maybe an old bottle)?

[7601-20150829] Bottle. Pine hops aroma. Clear, golden orange body with a quick foamy white head. Bitter syrupy pine hops flavour. Medium body. Good. (7/3/7/3/13) 3.3

For me this whole beer seems like itís holding back. Thereís subtle aroma and taste. Big grassy aroma dominates a very faint tropical and citrus aroma. Same with the taste. Theres a big grassy earthiness that overpowers a very subtle tropical mango taste. I can taste it, but itís so faint that it doesnít do much for the beer. This one is kind of disappointing to me and Iím not even trying to be a dbag about it. This and ranger just miss the mark in my opinion. I used to drink this all the time and remember it being much better.

Sampled from a 22 oz brown bottle this beer poured a vibrant dark golden color with a huge foamy yellow-white head that lingered and left excellent lacing. The aroma was tangy and sweet with pine and honey. The flavor was tangy and sweet pine, resin, sugar, caramel and honey. Long pine, resin and caramel finish. Full bodied. Well done.
