On tap, pours hazy golden. Aroma of hops and caramel malt. Flavour is standard hops with a big malty backbone. Very nice IPA.

Falls short on all front. The aroma is rather weak with a strong pine nut taste that overpowers the citrus flavor of your typical IPA’s. Rather thin in body while being rather cardonated. Didn’t much care for it.

6-pack from Mr. Bill’s. Been meaning to try this one for a while, but hadn’t gotten around to it. Fairly typical northwest IPA with bold citrus and pine tree aroma. Despite all the hops, beer is surprisingly easy on the palate.

Pours a transparent golden orange color with a moderate white head. Good retention. Aroma is piney hops and a hint of citrus. Flavor is dominated by piney and citrus hops. Just a hint of caramel malt. Medium mouthfeel and clean finish. A little one-dimensional, but not a bad IPA.

A lackluster IPA - smell was a very bland aroma of soured citrus. A very quick and sharp sour taste hit my tongue at first taste. This did not last very long and evolved into a slightly better aftertaste of pine, citrus and a nice well rounded hint of chocolate, which redeemed this beer. The aftertaste was really the only moderaely complex part of this beer. Enjoyable enough, but not enough to justify the price.

Pours amber with a white head. Smells of sage, some floral notes, citrus. Tastes bitter with some nice citrussy elements coming through on the finish.

bottled. Modest hop aroma really hides the solid bitterness of the first sip. Assertive & complex citric pine. More of an true IPA than I expected and pleases every time. A favorite that gets extra points for easy availability.

Pours a nice amber/ orange with a nice off white head. Nose is quite pleasant with pronounced hop character and a nice citrus/ grapefruit aroma. This is where I stopped enjoying this beer. Flavor is severely lacking. Very light citrus and light malt disappoint after the promising nose. Slight metallic finish as well. Not a very well made IPA. New Belgium should maybe stick to, y’know, Belgians. Swing and a miss...

22 ounce bottle, best before July 9, 2010. Served in a pint glass, the beer pours a clear dark gold/orange color with about an inch frothy off-white head. Head retention is very good, and there’s lots of lacing left on the glass. Aroma is pine and citrusy (grapefruit) hops. The taste is similar to the aroma, it’s mostly pine and citrus hops with the addition of some bready malt. Mouthfeel/body is light/medium, it’s a bit slick and is well carbonated. Drinkability is good, I thought it was enjoyable to drink. I think this is a decent overall IPA, definitely worth a try.
