Best by date of Jan 2014 on the bottle. A: Watery, hint of hops. Really not a lot going on here. A: Looks fine. Nice amber color. Nice white head. T; Very slight hint of hops. Very watery. Very earthy dull hop note. Bad dull finish. Too light. Way too light. Tastes almost like an amber ale or something. P: Watery, dull. it’s ok. A most sub par IPA. Really not enough hop note. No malt, no nothing.... Just not a good beer. Tastes like slightly bitter water.

At just on cool and into a tulip. It looks damn good; a sunny, radiant orange with fine conditioning and a lofty white as white crown. Head holds proudly high and leaves a thick, daubing weave of lace. Wow, just wow. This yields such a vibrant, clean, fragrant and fresh hop nose; so ridiculously well absorbed, it could be near perfection as far as high IBU ales go. Eucalypt, pine needles, nettles, lemon rind, grapefruit, peach and cantaloupe mince amongst some earthy and floral bouquets. Soft, mineral-like, creamy mouthfeel. The body medium-light, the finish long, squeaky clean and each mouthful exciting. This has so much fruit, plump, juicy, ripe for the picking and plentiful for the palate. Wickedly balanced; sweetness fades rapidly to drowning citrus and pale stonefruit before a floral, pinefrorest of hops peaks and slowly fades away. Rose musk and orange blossom prickles and dwells. Camphorous, piney and teeming with nettles in the aftertaste just completes it. An excitingly bright and fresh IPA. Beautifully crafted. Love it!!! (65cL, BB 14/09/14, The Liquor Shed, Jandakot)

Not a big IPA fan thus must disclose that my review is biased. Too hoppy and bitter for my taste but in general a well balanced IPA. Pretty strong beer due to higher alcohol %. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

12oz can, medium orange/copper color, almond-colored head, nice and frothy. aroma is indeed loaded with classic west coast hops, grapefruity and moderately caramel. flavor has a similar profile to aroma. quite a well balanced beer.

Pours a clear golden with a really big white head. Aroma is pine cones. Taste is sweet pale malt and plenty of pine and grapefruit hop bitterness. If you like American IPAs, you can’t go wrong here.

Transfer from BA review on 10-20-12- Poured from bottle into pint glass Appearance – Pours an amber color with a huge white head. The head is rocky in nature and has fantastic retention, slowly fading over time to give great lacing. Smell – The aroma was heaviest of a malt and some piney hops. While these were the most prevalent there were some good strong notes of grapefruit and some sweet caramel as well. Taste – The taste starts out with some flavors of a light caramel sweetness and a biscuit like flavor. As it advances more the taste dries out with a more biscuit like flavor coming to the tongue as well as some more hoppy flavors. At first the hoppy flavors are almost entirely of a pine nature. This however changes as the taste advances and the pine is joined by other hop flavors of a grapefruit and earthy nature as well. In the end a drier ,hopped flavor is left to linger on the tongue; rather pleasant. Mouthfeel – The body of the beer was on the slightly above average side in terms of creaminess with a carbonation level that was on the lower side. The lower carbonation, while good for the hop flavors, made it a little less refreshing. Overall the feel was fine, although I think a bit more carbonation to make it crisper and more refreshing may have done it well; it is hard to say for sure. Overall – A nice blend of hop flavors and a bit on the drier side. The brew had nice flavor transitions and a good flavor profile making it a rather nice, affordable, and tasty IPA. I say definitely give it a go!!!
