3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
I wasnít expecting much out of this because of itís wide distribution and the tendency for the hops to drop out of these things if they donít move through any stage of the distribution process quick enough, and I have to say that Iím pleasantly surprised. Clear golden orange with no head, the aroma is bright and full of sticky icky hop cones, aromas of chinook grapefruit, flavor is citrus hop rind, the chinooks really dominate the flavor and aroma. Very nice affordable IPA here... from a brewery thatís working pretty hard to be responsible in its environmental practices none the less.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Tastes hoppy but did not strike me as too bitter. One of my first IPAís and a good introduction.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bomber ($2.99 from The Jewel on my way home... Woohoo cheap!). Pours clear golden, nose is citrus, mild pine. Mouth is light bodied, pleasant bitterness, some grapefruit, toast, soap. Almost a sessionable IPA , but a little too high in the ABV I guess. Nothing earth-shattering but refreshing and cheap.

This is a good ipa with nice color and aroma. The taste is not too hoppy and it has a great after taste I would recommend this beer.

From a can, cans are better.
Ranger is a perfectly brewed ipa. The aroma is exactly like fresh malted barley, it is nonpareil. If you have ever malted barley and can get a whiff of the malt while malting, the aroma of Ranger is just like the aroma of fresh malting barley. Malting is an art and the eye does the work of when to roast the malt for ideal aroma and sweetness. Add your hops and it is beer.
Ranger is a topnotch brew. It is a 5, so that is what it gets.

Pours pale Amber with some orange. Light white head. Clear. Tastes crisp and nicely hopped bitter but not over the top. Refreshing palate with a touch of hoppy aftertaste. Great IPA

Rated based on notes taken 18 Dec 2014 -- This is the IPA I seek out at bars that donít have a great craft beer selection. Great distribution and a solid beer.

12oz cans. Drank these while at Wanee Fest and was enjoying the hell out of them. Great IPA that for some reason we canít get up here in the northeast.
