3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
22oz. Consumed today. Best by 7/9/10. [A] Pungent piney, earthy, citrus notes over a sweet pale, biscuity and caramel malt aroma. Smells like a Fat Tire with some dank hops. Or something. [A] Clear golden pour, with a bubbly body and white head, kind of recedes into an island atop my brew. Fuzzy lacing. [F] Flavor follows smell pretty closely. Piney, earthy, zesty citrus hops. Bitter is actually quite nice. The malt is mild here under the hops, with a pale and slightly caramel taste. [P] Thin to mild bodied. Appropriate carbonation. The hop bitter is impressive enough to appreciate. And keep my interest through a 6-pack. Not my first choice for a session, but a bomber was enjoyable, and I probably could do more. [O] If this is as "micro" as your local 2AM liquor store goes, or the only bomber you can afford when you need a hop fix, by all means, grab THIS. It satisfies, but does not exceed. Iím sure there are better things you could fit into $4-9. A solid offering either way @ 6.5 and 70 IBUs. Could stand to be a little maltier. Definitely a repeat at the right place & time. Iíll give this one some props for $2.99+.

Pils yellow with a good sheet of bone white foam and plenty of lace. Smells of lemons, sweet malts, grass and mixed citrus (grapefruit and limes). Slightly bitter in the flavor with some tropical and resinous flavors. Malts a not invasive and quite pleasant. Medium bodied with moderate carb and some wet finish. Good beer. 4/3.5/3.5/3/3.5
Poured from bottle to New Belgium tulip.
A: golden yellow with ocassional bubbble rising to thin white surface sheet; good, consistently replenished surfacing of carbonation. Excellent clarity as always with New Belgium.
S: IPA-tastic! Cheers to New Belgium for taking their time developing this bouquet. pine, citrus, sour apples, hemp accentuate this lovely beerís nose.
T: Bitter up front, resin from hops. This quickly transitions to sweet effervescent mouth flavor.
M: Medium body IPA with moderate carbonation pinching the tastebuds as you try to take in the flavors.
D: One of the most sessionable IPAís available. Also great intro IPA for folks. 4/4.5/4/4/4.5 - 4.2

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Herbal/floral hop aroma, and an almost woody aroma (not "oaked" or whatever... More like freshly cut wood"). Lightly sweet aroma. Similar herbal/floral hop flavor, plus a little citrus fruit. Really light malt flavor; the sweetness is balanced by substantial bitterness, which gets stronger in the aftertaste.

Drank in Weston Wisconsin. Pours gold with white head. Bitter grapefruity taste, a good go to IPA that's often a bit cheaper than alternatives

Pleasantly surprised with this. I improperly drank it right from the bottle. Very nice balance, citrus hop kick right away, then a smooth finish of bread and pine.

On tap. Amber with off white head. Aroma of malt, biscuit, grass and slight earth. Taste is similar, biscuit, earth and grass dominates. Finish reminds me of an old earth cellar

3.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
On tap at Buffalo Wild Wings, Columbus GA. Pours a clear amber color, no head on this pour most likely due to the beer sitting before getting to me. Good aroma of hops. Piney and bitter smelling. Taste is bitter hops balanced well with malty sweetness. Not my favorite IPA, but not terrible.
