22oz. Consumed today. Best by 7/9/10. [A] Pungent piney, earthy, citrus notes over a sweet pale, biscuity and caramel malt aroma. Smells like a Fat Tire with some dank hops. Or something. [A] Clear golden pour, with a bubbly body and white head, kind of recedes into an island atop my brew. Fuzzy lacing. [F] Flavor follows smell pretty closely. Piney, earthy, zesty citrus hops. Bitter is actually quite nice. The malt is mild here under the hops, with a pale and slightly caramel taste. [P] Thin to mild bodied. Appropriate carbonation. The hop bitter is impressive enough to appreciate. And keep my interest through a 6-pack. Not my first choice for a session, but a bomber was enjoyable, and I probably could do more. [O] If this is as "micro" as your local 2AM liquor store goes, or the only bomber you can afford when you need a hop fix, by all means, grab THIS. It satisfies, but does not exceed. Iím sure there are better things you could fit into $4-9. A solid offering either way @ 6.5 and 70 IBUs. Could stand to be a little maltier. Definitely a repeat at the right place & time. Iíll give this one some props for $2.99+.

Piney goodness, this hop heavy IPA is wonderful. Classic light gold with clingy head. If youíre after an IPA that is light on the malt and heavy on the hop, this is the one for you!

<br > BBE 07 Dec 14. Pours orange with a smooth head. Aroma of sweet malts, caramel, grassy and herbal hops, pine and resin. Taste is smooth, sweetish and malty with some grassy hops, herbal notes and caramel. Finish is crisp, malty and sweetish with some grassy hops and herbal notes. Okay sweetish malty IPA.

Very enjoyable drink, poured from can into plastic cup. Very little head but good golden colouring. Nice on the palate with tastes I cannot distinguish

Poured from a 12. This is your standard IPA offering. Bold and piney, crisp and bitter. Yes and yes. Great easy drinking beer. Even has a fairly smooth aftertaste.

One of my all-time favorites. With its unique aroma, balanced taste, and bitter palate, Ranger is as perfect an IPA as one can (easily) get. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

22 oz bottle poured into pint glass. Pours a perfect golden color with a thin fluffy white head. Smells really hoppy. Tastes just as good as it looks ans smells. Unbelievable value. Would for sure recommend, especially for the cost. Probably gonna be in my rotation.

Pours a clear golden colour with a white head. Aroma is malt, fruit, pine, and dusty hops. Taste is medium sweet leading to a hoppy finish. Not bad.

Iíve only had this out of the can and I must say itís a very tasty beer. The price point ($14 12 packs) somehow adds to the flavor! The beer doesnít smell great at all (canning has always effected the aroma for me) and doesnít look at all impressive in a glass, but the flavor packs a huge hop punch with just enough malt balance to keep it from being a plain-ol-hop-bomb. Being from Indy, Iím more of a Midwestern/malty IPA fan, and this beer seems to fall well enough between LA and Indy in both style and actual location. Itís not a palate wrecker but the bitter hops do let themselves be known. A great go to beer that should always be easy to find almost anywhere, but nothing ultra original. Just plain good.

Very pleasant IPA aroma. Smooth and tasty going in. Slightly bitter going down but very enjoyable.
