3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
22oz. Consumed today. Best by 7/9/10. [A] Pungent piney, earthy, citrus notes over a sweet pale, biscuity and caramel malt aroma. Smells like a Fat Tire with some dank hops. Or something. [A] Clear golden pour, with a bubbly body and white head, kind of recedes into an island atop my brew. Fuzzy lacing. [F] Flavor follows smell pretty closely. Piney, earthy, zesty citrus hops. Bitter is actually quite nice. The malt is mild here under the hops, with a pale and slightly caramel taste. [P] Thin to mild bodied. Appropriate carbonation. The hop bitter is impressive enough to appreciate. And keep my interest through a 6-pack. Not my first choice for a session, but a bomber was enjoyable, and I probably could do more. [O] If this is as "micro" as your local 2AM liquor store goes, or the only bomber you can afford when you need a hop fix, by all means, grab THIS. It satisfies, but does not exceed. I’m sure there are better things you could fit into $4-9. A solid offering either way @ 6.5 and 70 IBUs. Could stand to be a little maltier. Definitely a repeat at the right place & time. I’ll give this one some props for $2.99+.

Aroma and taste are a little pine and a lot of hop bitterness. Overall, this beer was okay.

On draft. Dark golden color with one finger fluffy head. Grapefruit and pine aroma. Slight grapefruit and bitterness, okay IPA.

2.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
Clear golden liquid with a small off-white to cream colored head. Citric hops dominate with a hint of grain and resin. Grapefruit and green herb flavors. Not much depth or malt to this one. I really do appreciate my malt, but I am hard pressed to find much in this one. A hint in the linger, but the rest is just hop water. 2/10

2.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
Too hoppy of a beer, like the hop stayed too long in the water. Maybe needs to be tasted among all other beer that Colorado has to give.

Looks like a plain old macro. Piney citrus aroma. Bitter taste.
This was from a pick six pack, glad I didn’t buy a sixer. This didn’t do much for me.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Tastes hoppy but did not strike me as too bitter. One of my first IPA’s and a good introduction.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bomber ($2.99 from The Jewel on my way home... Woohoo cheap!). Pours clear golden, nose is citrus, mild pine. Mouth is light bodied, pleasant bitterness, some grapefruit, toast, soap. Almost a sessionable IPA , but a little too high in the ABV I guess. Nothing earth-shattering but refreshing and cheap.

This is a good ipa with nice color and aroma. The taste is not too hoppy and it has a great after taste I would recommend this beer.

From a can, cans are better.
Ranger is a perfectly brewed ipa. The aroma is exactly like fresh malted barley, it is nonpareil. If you have ever malted barley and can get a whiff of the malt while malting, the aroma of Ranger is just like the aroma of fresh malting barley. Malting is an art and the eye does the work of when to roast the malt for ideal aroma and sweetness. Add your hops and it is beer.
Ranger is a topnotch brew. It is a 5, so that is what it gets.
