3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
22oz. Consumed today. Best by 7/9/10. [A] Pungent piney, earthy, citrus notes over a sweet pale, biscuity and caramel malt aroma. Smells like a Fat Tire with some dank hops. Or something. [A] Clear golden pour, with a bubbly body and white head, kind of recedes into an island atop my brew. Fuzzy lacing. [F] Flavor follows smell pretty closely. Piney, earthy, zesty citrus hops. Bitter is actually quite nice. The malt is mild here under the hops, with a pale and slightly caramel taste. [P] Thin to mild bodied. Appropriate carbonation. The hop bitter is impressive enough to appreciate. And keep my interest through a 6-pack. Not my first choice for a session, but a bomber was enjoyable, and I probably could do more. [O] If this is as "micro" as your local 2AM liquor store goes, or the only bomber you can afford when you need a hop fix, by all means, grab THIS. It satisfies, but does not exceed. I’m sure there are better things you could fit into $4-9. A solid offering either way @ 6.5 and 70 IBUs. Could stand to be a little maltier. Definitely a repeat at the right place & time. I’ll give this one some props for $2.99+.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Solid IPA for sure. Bitter, and clean hoppy flavor. Low in sweetness, a very good thing IMO. It’s hard to pass on this beer. It won’t knock your socks off if you’re looking for intense hop presence, but it’s well made and enjoyable if you like IPAs. Great price point. too.

Bière achetée à LA. Couleur cuivrée, belle mousse. Nez houblonné : houblons herbeux surtout. En bouche, les agrumes prennent plus de place et c’Est amer, très amer, mais délicieux. Excellent produit!

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle: Clear, golden body with a slight chill haze about it; foamy, white, quick settling head on top. Aroma is relatively generic... Some green hoppy notes, moderate citrus peel, florals, grapefruit, white pepper, a touch of spicy pine. Taste is herbaceous & floral, moderately brash with light undertones of pine & white pepper covered grapefruit rind. Bitter on the back-end with some toasted, almost-caramel malt sweetness sweeping in & lasting through the finish. A decent IPA, but relatively unexciting.
