COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Fall is here and with it our seasonal ale, Red Hoptober. Shining like autumn leaves in a globe glass this beer pours a dark and lovely garnet as it builds a bright, inviting head. The Eldorado hops are bold and present with a distinct, piney flavor while the caramel malt and roasted barley provide a backbone to stand Red Hoptober upright. Centennial and Cascade hops offer hints of citrus, tickling the nose, while the tongue carries a subtle, roasty tone that pairs pleasantly with the warming bite of bitter. Red Hoptober is perfect for shortening days and campfire nights.

Pours clear brown with a medium beige head, fine lacing. Aromas of pine, nuts, toast, and chocolate. Medium-light body, creamy and zesty, lightly dry. Little sweetness, a hint of citrus, then a lasting medium bitter finish. Very drink able. Big and interesting for an amber.

One of the better reds I have had, really nice balance with good hop profile balanced by the sweet malt. Nice body for the style with great lacing. Highlights are the flavor and the balance for sure.

Tap sample at the brewery. Deep copper color with a nice off white head. Toasty malt aroma, some nuts and spicy earthy hops. Super nutty flavors, light cocoa, mild roastiness, medium bitterness, juicy caramel malt and faint dried fruits. Refreshing, dry, long bitter finish, drinkable and good.

Bottle. Pour is amber with a beige head, good retention/some lace. Aroma of pine, caramel, toast, citrus, earth. Taste is moderately bitter, pine, toast, earth. Palate is drier, soft, oily, bitter finish. Decent enough, but not much different from Fat Tire and inferior to the old Hoptober.

Deuce to pint. Looks good; a mostly opaque amber with off-white head that dissipates into lacing. Smells and tastes of bitter hops and amber malt. Average on the palate. Enjoyable.

Bottle. Pours a deep dark ruby red/brown color. Nice lasting beige head that has good lacing too. Strong aromas of burnt toast, hops, and citrus. Taste is even more bold. Nice and hoppy, with the roasted barley and caramel malts making this one really shine. Medium mouthfeel with light carbonation. Amber is def not my fav style, but I’m really enjoying this beer this season.
