12 oz bottle. Pours a beautiful reddish amber color. Aroma is caramel malt with some toffee. Also some grassy hops. Flavor is a delicious blend of caramel malt, toffee, and toast. Palate is perfect. Overall this is an excellent amber. It almost snuck by me, but I’m glad I decided to try it. Now I have another reason to look forward to autumn.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
On tap at New Belgium (GABF week 2012). Pours with a clear bronze hued body with a large tan head. Aromas are nutty and toasty, sort of victory like malt, maple and grainy with a light fruity notes. Flavors are light coffee, nutty and roasty, grainy, clean. Slightly strong bitterness for what was expected. Fuller carbonation with a relatively dry finish.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Red with a white head. The aroma is full of pine with some red ale malt. The flavor is fairly hoppy. I get some heavy pine and grass notes as well as some toffee character. Medium mouthfeel and medium carbonation.

Bottle. Deep dark copper colour, average cream coloured head. Aroma is equally toasty and hoppy. The malts here are toasty with notes of chocolate. The hops are sharp and piney. This is a compelling amber, tasty and rich. I liked it.

This is the only beer i have ever spit out. I said screw after the first sip and i threw the 6 pack in my toilet and pissed all over it. Than i scooped it back out and drank it and was much better. Al ittle bit of acidity which was a big improvement over the Hay taste it orgianlly had. WORST BEER EVER!!!
