4.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/2012 oz bottle. Pours a beautiful reddish amber color. Aroma is caramel malt with some toffee. Also some grassy hops. Flavor is a delicious blend of caramel malt, toffee, and toast. Palate is perfect. Overall this is an excellent amber. It almost snuck by me, but I’m glad I decided to try it. Now I have another reason to look forward to autumn.

Part of the New Belgian fall variety pack. Probably my favorite from the pack. Nice flavor with a decent hop profile.

Pours a clear brown-copper with a short, sticky caramel-colored head. Roasted smoky malt and grapefruit aromas. The moutfheel is a little thin and wet with some scrubbing toward the end and a powdery finish. This is a Porter meets Calofornia Pale Ale. Coffee up front with floral and citrus hops being picked up in that order. There are some interesting things going on with this one. Otherwise, it’s average.

Looks deep dark and red. Lots of interesting notes on this one. But it is a little one note and quick on the finish.

Pours reddish brown and has a tan head. Has a citrus aroma with notes of roasted malts and floral hops. Has a good balance of malts and hops in the taste. The hops is crisp but nothing over powering. Overall, an enjoyable beer.

Bottle. Mild chocolate and piney hop aroma. Light coppr/brown color and fairly constant 2-cm head. Earthy hop mix initial / very light cocoa or bready chocolate cake in mid palate / returns to earthiness in final, with some mild lingering hop bitterness. Thin body. Very light flavors. Pleasant, Okay.

Pours reddish brown, filtered. Aroma is great, pine, roast. Taste is hoppy, with little malt sweetness. Nice change of pace for fall beers. A little thin.

Clear copper with a rocky beige slowly fading crown. Aroma is floral with herbal notes, caramel and some fruit beneath. Taste of caramel, floral hops and not much else. Bland, gritty with a prickly and somewhat bitter finish. Ok at best.

Ar: Slightly burnt caramel, golden raisin, some hay.
Ap: Clear amber-red - medium light tan reddish-tan head with good retention and a fine coating of lacing and foam.
T: Toasty caramel, with a light sweetness - fairly clean yeast profile, some mossy hops, a bit of lemon - medium-low bitterness - finish is caramel, hay, and tart citrus.
P: Medium body with medium-high carbonation - finish is medium-dry.
O: Easy-drinking amber - nice malt profile and some interesting hop flavors, too.

Bottle @ tasting. Aroma has spicy and herbal hops, some pine. Flavour is medium bitter, some caramel malt sweetness and again herbal and plant like hops. Okay.
