Very pale, easy drinker. Not bland though...fruity and malty. Well balanced. Some citrusy fruit and yeast esters dominate.

Pale straw pour with a white head. Grassy and grainy aroma. Some floral notes, a bit of citrus peel, and white pepper. Pale/cracker malt note and kind of dry. The flavor is lightly sweet up front. Some floral and grassy hops, citrus peel, and white pepper. Yeast, cracker, and a dry finish.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 14/20
12 fl oz / 355mL bottle at a craft beer tasting.
Aroma: Kind of a bready, biscuity malt with a pine-y hop profile. A little grapefruity?
Appearance: Clear sparkling yellow, no real head.
Taste: Along the same lines as the aroma, pretty biscuity, and the hops are mild. Eh.
Palate: Light bodied and fizzy. Insta-finish.
Overall: Not a huge fan. Nothing bad, just not very great.

0.5 AROMA 1/10 APPEARANCE 1/5 TASTE 1/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 1/20
Quite honestly one of the worst beers I’ve ever had. No aroma, looked and tasted like Bud Light, and poured down the drain as easy as one, just at 3 times the cost. New Belgium, I am disappoint.

Bottle. Just not a very good beer. Yellow color. I don’t taste fruit nor do I smell any. Yuck.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Chattanooga, TN - Riverside Wine & Spirits - 12 oz bottle. Hazy light golden pour with nice bubble action and a soft silky snow white head - just looks so damn refreshing. Sweet aroma with a hint of honey, some sugar wafer cookies, a touch of lemon. Flavor is crisp and refreshing with hints of lemon, some light clove accents, a touch of light all-spice spiciness. Mouthfeel has a nice spritz to it. Good summer refresher.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
On tap at Whole Foods. Clear golden with a soapy white head. Fruit, bready malt, and light yeast aroma with a lightl malty and fruity taste. Light-medium bodied and pretty good for a summer beer.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Tasted from 12oz brown bottle into nucleated schooner glass. It poured a clear straw colour with deep, sudsy white foam and lots of lace. For the record, I have no idea what monk fruits and soursops even are, but "delightfully easy summer ale" is right, and an oddly complex one at that. I’m loving the strange fruity, tart, earthy, vaguely acidic but not quite sour, very faint musk, almost brett-like qualities. Light body, strong carbonation, slight residual sweetness in the mouthfeel, but then a surprisingly dry, hoppy finish. I absolutely did not expect to enjoy this so much. New Belgium can be hit or miss with me, but I give ’em huge props for audacity, and when they get a recipe right like this one, it’s really quite tasty. More, please.

bottle. Golden with one finger head. I wanted to like this way more than I actually did. Pretty boring. Fruitiness is hard to detect.
