COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
New Belgium’s seasonal release, Saison, pays tribute to Belgian farmhouse ales brewed to celebrate the fall harvest. Pale bronze in color, our Saison is slightly spicy and delicately hopped. A sweet malty note glides along with herbal tones produced by an authentic Belgian yeast strain. The finish is surprisingly dry.
Originally, local brewers crafted Saison beers for seasonal workers in the farming community to enjoy at the end of their day. With typical hoppy character and an intriguing Belgian twist, Saison will appeal to hop lovers and wheat beer drinkers alike. Whether you’re pushing a plow or a pile of paper work, Saison will help you bask in the afterglow of a job well done.
Saison - Enjoy the season.
Pale bronze in color, this delicately hopped ale has a bright, yeasty, artisanal quality worthy of toasting those long autumn sunsets.

Bottle at home. Pour is clear yellow with a big white head and sticky lacing. Big belgian yeasty, somewhat phenolic, waxy, lemony, somewhat floral, peppery, and doughy aroma. Taste is lemony, biscuity, pepper, floral, musty, and phenolic with a spicy finish. Medium body with high carbonation. Not bad, but a bit heavy on the heavy belgian yeast characteristics for my liking - solid.

From a bottle. Thanks Joe! Pours almost clear bright yellow gold with a bubbly white head and lots of lacing. Tastes like lemon, juniper, creamy, light herb. Medium body and low carbonation. Smells like creamy lemon, straw, musky and grassy.

Bottle. Pours clear golden yellow with creamy white head. Aroma is pislner malts, wheat, light toast, floral hops, citrus, and some grassy notes. Flavor is crisp malt base with good wheat and grassy character, light spice, and some tropical and citrus fruit esters; quite delicious. Light/medium body and medium carbonation.

Pours hazy golden with a medium white head, very good retention, very fine lacing. Aromas of biscuit, hay, banana, pepper. Light body, bright, smooth, and creamy. Mildly sweet, gentle citrus, lightly bitter, with a medium dry peppery finish. Enjoyable.

Picked this up in a New Belgium seasonal pack, so I guess "Tis the Saison!" Terrible puns out of the way, it pours a bright, hazy, yellow with a thin, white head. Lemon zest and yeast in the aroma. Crisp taste with some more of the yeastiness coming out. Light and refreshing offering with a higher abv than expected. Not bad.

The appearance of the Harvest Ale is light golden with little head. The aroma has some grassy hops, yeast, and cereal malt. The taste is lightly sweet, with a minor sour note. Feels very invigorating sipping this. Pretty good.

12 oz. bottle from Cash Wise in Williston. Appearance: finger frothy white head, straw, very very slightly cloudy, good lacing. Aroma: leather, belgian spicy hops, belgian yeast. Palate: light body, moderate soft carbonation, bitter finish, moderate dry finish, light chalky body. Taste: light sweet biscuity malts into light sweet citrus, transitions into spicy hops that grows in bitterness. Overall, unique, but not super close to style. Enjoyable drink, but not very sessionable in my opinion.

Serving: Bottle from a mix pack from Wegmans Leesburg. It pours a hazy yellow with a solid white head. The nose has a bit of spice, yeast, and malt. Lightly floral, a touch sweet, with a spicy finish on the tongue. Light to medium body with medium to high carbonation leading to a medium finish. Surprisingly decent.
