New Belgium’s seasonal release, Saison, pays tribute to Belgian farmhouse ales brewed to celebrate the fall harvest. Pale bronze in color, our Saison is slightly spicy and delicately hopped. A sweet malty note glides along with herbal tones produced by an authentic Belgian yeast strain. The finish is surprisingly dry.
Originally, local brewers crafted Saison beers for seasonal workers in the farming community to enjoy at the end of their day. With typical hoppy character and an intriguing Belgian twist, Saison will appeal to hop lovers and wheat beer drinkers alike. Whether you’re pushing a plow or a pile of paper work, Saison will help you bask in the afterglow of a job well done.
Saison - Enjoy the season.
Pale bronze in color, this delicately hopped ale has a bright, yeasty, artisanal quality worthy of toasting those long autumn sunsets.

Not a huge fan of saisons but this is a pretty good one.. Overall it has a smooth taste and very good appearance. Impressed with the palate.

Mix pack. Yellow and fizzy with a soft white head. Lemony, yeasty nose. Tart, slight spice, with a little bit of a creamy banana finish. Perfectly good saison here.

Bottled. Pours a clear, saffron yellow-orange with a pillowy, bright white head. Aroma is of bright lemongrass up front, followed by musty banana, cloves, and vanilla cookies. As it warms, the banana esters become more pronounced. Mildly sweet flavor that grows slightly in intensity as husky wheat, slightly sour lemon peel, and dried grasses simultaneously come to the forefront. Finish is of dried straw and mild yeast, a combination slightly reminiscent of sourdough bread. Moderate-to-high carbonation that is quickly fading. A solid saison.

Slightly spicy, poured into glass, hazy golden pour, mild hop, good beer. Slight fuzziness, soft aftertaste, nice finish.

I’ve had real Saisons’a from Belgium and France, and I must say, of all the American styles I have tried as well, this one comes closest to the real thing.

Bottle . Poured pale amber with a skim white head. Aroma is citrusy with some yeasty ester. Light bodied, creamy mouthfeel with a tart acidic finish. Light malt flavour with spicey notes of corriander and banana peel.

12 oz bottle from Mile High Wine & Spirits. Pale golden appearance with a white head. Belgian yeast, light hops, pale malts, floral notes, light peppery spice and light banana. Medium body with a crisp feel and a smooth finish. Pretty tasty.

Golden pour with a fair white head leaving a drape of lace. Very yeasty. Earthy. Fruity. Lemon. Orange peel. Banana. Grass. Fairly spicy. A tad sweet. Low bitterness. Pretty dry. Medium body. Good all-around Saison. I may not necessarily seek it out again, but I like it.

Beautiful bright clear golden straw pour with good, but quick fading, white head. Nose is lightly citrusy and yeasty with hints of clove. Flavor has a slight hop bitter bite which is added at the tail end. Fairly refreshing, but a little thick on the palate. Maybe could use a touch more carbonation? Pretty good though.
