New Belgium’s seasonal release, Saison, pays tribute to Belgian farmhouse ales brewed to celebrate the fall harvest. Pale bronze in color, our Saison is slightly spicy and delicately hopped. A sweet malty note glides along with herbal tones produced by an authentic Belgian yeast strain. The finish is surprisingly dry.
Originally, local brewers crafted Saison beers for seasonal workers in the farming community to enjoy at the end of their day. With typical hoppy character and an intriguing Belgian twist, Saison will appeal to hop lovers and wheat beer drinkers alike. Whether you’re pushing a plow or a pile of paper work, Saison will help you bask in the afterglow of a job well done.
Saison - Enjoy the season.
Pale bronze in color, this delicately hopped ale has a bright, yeasty, artisanal quality worthy of toasting those long autumn sunsets.

On Tap @ the Tempe "Tour de fat" event. Refreshing, copper-colored beer with a light sweetness, hints of black pepper, clove and cinnamon. Very drinkable, but a word of caution. This beer does NOT go well with pizza.

Pours hazy yellow with a big white head. Aroma is funky yeast, malt, saaz hops. Taste is surprisingly like a Pils with a decent yeasty finish. Good, satisfying mouthfeel. Good overall, but nowhere near the best Saison that I’ve had. Tastes like an overly yeasty Pilsner.

Hazy lemonade with a nice white head. Bready, sweet spices, Belgian yeast aroma. Belgian yeast, spices, mild bitterness, mild malt taste. Not what I was expecting when I picked this saison up. Good beer

pale gold color, hazy, moderate carbonation. off-white head, not long lasting. aroma has herbal hoppiness, bit floral and spicy. flavor seems a bit too hoppy for the style. lightly sweet, but not a delicate beer.

Bottle, thanks in-laws! Straw hazy lemon yellow, little white head. Pleasant lemony yeasty aroma. Taste is surprisngly quite hoppy up front, giving way to lemon and citrus note and a really zesty finish. Very enjoyable to drink with alcohol well hidden. So fruity/citrusy. Well done.

12 oz bottle- Pours hazy pale straw golden with a nice creamy white head. Aroma is bright and citrusy, getting some funk actually, barnyard, yeasty. The taste is yeast, wheat, grains, citrusy, mildly funk, dry bitterness in the finish, the aroma is slightly more enjoyable than the taste. Body is medium and carbonation is medium high. So much better than i was expecting, not sure why they discontinued it in the first place.

12 oz bottle from the fall variety pack; this was a 2007 Revival beer. Pours hazy gold with a thick white fluffy head with excellent retention; laces nicely. Aroma is bready, clove, lemon--pretty much what I want in a saison. Taste is trademark NB earthy, sweet and spicy; a note of earthy hops in the finish. Creamy mouthfeel, medium body, just right carbonation. This is great. Why did they stop making this?

Bottle poured into a shaker. Pours a cloudy yellow with a half finger of white head. Aroma is hugely yeasty with some lemon citrus. Taste is light bitter, follows aroma. Medium bodied with a slightly creamy texture. Lively carbonation and a long finish. Cool.

Bottle at home. Pour is clear yellow with a big white head and sticky lacing. Big belgian yeasty, somewhat phenolic, waxy, lemony, somewhat floral, peppery, and doughy aroma. Taste is lemony, biscuity, pepper, floral, musty, and phenolic with a spicy finish. Medium body with high carbonation. Not bad, but a bit heavy on the heavy belgian yeast characteristics for my liking - solid.
