New Belgium’s seasonal release, Saison, pays tribute to Belgian farmhouse ales brewed to celebrate the fall harvest. Pale bronze in color, our Saison is slightly spicy and delicately hopped. A sweet malty note glides along with herbal tones produced by an authentic Belgian yeast strain. The finish is surprisingly dry.
Originally, local brewers crafted Saison beers for seasonal workers in the farming community to enjoy at the end of their day. With typical hoppy character and an intriguing Belgian twist, Saison will appeal to hop lovers and wheat beer drinkers alike. Whether you’re pushing a plow or a pile of paper work, Saison will help you bask in the afterglow of a job well done.
Saison - Enjoy the season.
Pale bronze in color, this delicately hopped ale has a bright, yeasty, artisanal quality worthy of toasting those long autumn sunsets.

UPDATED: JUN 23, 2005 A wonderfully acidic, spicy, flavourful rendition of the style. Astonishingly refreshing with a huge blast of ginger and depth of pepper, earthy hoppiness, and a dry finish. Re-Rate is hopefully pending.

UPDATED: JAN 22, 2007 Nice golden color. Great beer. Good crisp refreshing taste to it. Taste never gets old and I could drink it like a soda. Had in Denver for Barry’s wedding.

12 oz bottle from the fall variety pack; this was a 2007 Revival beer. Pours hazy gold with a thick white fluffy head with excellent retention; laces nicely. Aroma is bready, clove, lemon--pretty much what I want in a saison. Taste is trademark NB earthy, sweet and spicy; a note of earthy hops in the finish. Creamy mouthfeel, medium body, just right carbonation. This is great. Why did they stop making this?

Gold with just a touch of red. Fluffy white head and sheet lacing. Sour aroms with bitter hops. Lemons for the scitrus and just a bare hint of smoke. Clove and pilsner malts. Flavor is so incredibly complex. Bitter and smoky with biscuits and doubh. Stong spice with a lot of clove it seems like. I’ve never encountered a saison like this from anywehre besides belgue. Awesome beer! Thanks Crosling.

Big coriander, soury light fermented fruit, and flowers on the aroma... and the same on the mouth. The beer poured a yellow orange color w/ thin head and lacing. The mouthfeel was light and creamy.

This beer kicks ass. I do have to admit I am a big saison fan and this beer is true to style. Much better the NBB’s old saison. Golden and hazy very effervescent and yummy spice. Top Notch.

Not always available, but worth the wait. The spices come through nicely but not overpowering. A refreshing easy to drink saison.
