3.9 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
Aroma: Lots of fruit in the nose. Smells like the same aroma hop addition used in their seasonal ale, Dig.
Appearance: Crystal clear and golden in color with appropriate amount of head.
Taste: Leans more toward the crisp/dry end of the maltiness spectrum and finishes with an appropriate level of bitterness. Flavor isn’t nearly as fruity as the nose.
Palate: light and effervescent which I prefer in a pale lager.
Overall: I like this quite a bit. I don’t drink lagers often and this beer will even the balance. The hop aroma is interesting but doesn’t dominate the beer they way that the Nelson Sauvin hops do with Dig and it finishes clean and bitter which makes it a great warm weather sipper.

Good quality lager with a nice clean well balanced character. New Belgium has gone for the big market with all their brews. With this one it works.

Can. Pours a golden with off white head. Taste and aroma don’t stray far from just regular malts.

2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Better than the infamous fat tire. Actually tastes pretty similar but with a lighter mouthfeel, more hops and less roasted flavor. Decent.
