3.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
16oz can, canned on 9/2/12, poured into a pint glass. Pours a hazy honey-gold with a frothy head on top. Great sticky lace clings to the glass. Orange zest, lemon, green hops in the nose. The body is crisp, but thins out on the finish. Could use a little more ’snap’ to it. NB comes through with big bitter hops as expected. They couldn’t just brew a simple refreshing lager, no, this beer is like a MIPA (mild IPA). The bitter character is short-lived though, and there’s not a lot else here. It’s not the most flavorful beer, other than the oily hops. This was decent, but not what I expected.

Best summer canned beer! Very crisp with a clean aftertaste. Light body and lightly hopped. This beer runs circles around the rest to me

2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 10/20
Draft at SB. Lots of people say nice things about this one as a lawnmower beer, and I couldn’t be any more eager than I am to find great session beers. Was this an old keg? The rep was in the room for this one last night and I didn’t have the heart to ask her. Pours a very slightly hazy medium amber with a loose white head that sticks around. Cardboardy, stale nose, with some old corn nuts showing. Creamy medium body with moderate carb. Cardboard, corn nuts, and corn husk on the mid palate. Mild, cardboardy finish.

For an after work brew it works. I could even go for a cold on during the some.
Light easy drinking with slight hop flavor, builds character.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Can from Tanakaya. Drank straight from the can. Good light cracker aroma with juicy citrus and light pine on the nose. Good carbonation and well-balanced on the palate. Light cracker to biscuity malt with classic American hop flavor. Nice and refreshing bitter finish. Definitely more of a session IPA than a lager, but fine by me.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Pours clear copper with a puffy white head, very good retention. Aromas of grass, grapefruit, earth, biscuit. Light body, good carbonation. Gentle sweet, mild bitter finish. Pretty bitter for a lager, but still quite quaffable.
