Bottle. Hazy yellow with a thin, clean white head. Aromas of wheat, citrus, lemon, light spice and yeast. Flavor is bread, wheat, citrus, lemon, and just the most subtle of tartness on the end. Light bodied.

Reviewed March 17, 2014. A: Pours a hazy straw color. The head is about two fingers high, and completely white. It fades to a thin film somewhat rapidly, with a soapy yet somewhat soft texture. Some lacing is left behind. S: Just from the aroma, the character seems closer to a wit than a hefeweizen. Itís mostly forward in candied sugar and black pepper, with subtler hints of clove and coriander. Nothing exciting, but it works acceptably. T: The flavor profile is mostly just wheat malt with some lemon. There is, however, a light kiss of tart fruit that hit the palate before fading quickly. It also finishes with just a hint of spice esters. Similar to the nose, thereís little excitement, just a pleasantly drinkable offering. Wait: a bit more lemony tartness is coming to the forefront? Awesome! Letís raise the scores some. M: This is a very crisp and light beer; itís also vaguely sweet-finishing, but I donít care. The carbonation is strong without being oppressive. Ultimately, itís both refreshing and easy to drink, but somewhat dinky. O: I really like how thereís some genuinely noticeable tartness, even to my scorched-Earth palate. Yet, itís disguised within a well-balanced yet unassuming wheat beer. Without the sour notes, this would be BOOO-RING; thank the Flying Spaghetti Monster they exist, and help to make this one pretty solid. Iíd even buy it again!

Hazy yellow white head. Light earthy aroma. tartness up front, lingers and then leaves a fairy flat taste after. Not thrilling or complex.

Pours a medium golden yellow color. Aroma is lacking, traces of grass, malt, and maybe some hops. Flavor was almost as bland as the smell, a little sweetness, followed by a touch of hops. Not much here.

New Belgium Snapshot 5% It is listed as a tart wheat beer with a cloudy light gold color that possesses a filmy eggshell white head. A tart wheat aroma that is very reminiscent of a Gose. The taste is wheat, soda bread, some lemon and a mild tartness. It feels to me it is midway between a Gose and a wheat ale. That tartness is very mild in the finish. It's ok but isn't as good as the previous two bottles. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

My second encounter with New Belgium brews was even better. This american wheat beer is refreshing, slightly sour and little bit of banana sweetness as well. I tip my hat off!
