Somersault is a fun roll around on the tongue, while requiring only the minimum of palate gymnastics. This is the perfect summer lounge-around beer. Somersault tumbles out with citrus aroma from Centennial hops, a soft apricot fruitiness tucked into the flavor, a full mouthfeel from the addition of oats and a crisp, dry finish from the subtle addition of ginger.

Summer is not my favorite seasonal and NB is not my top brewery, but this turned out to be a nice summer surprise from Fort Collins. Clever, pretty label. A floral-sweet hop aroma emanates from a dark gold pour with a nice head of foam. It tastes like a pale ale with some citrus flavors - lemon and grapefruit. The label mentions oats and apricots. There is a nicely balanced tension between sour, bitter, and sweet elements. Real nice.

This is a well made summer beer with just the right sweet and sour taste with strong citrus notes and flavor. I could drink this beer year round. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Very citrus beer good refreshing for a summer day. Would buy again if drinking on a summer day.

Bottle. Pours like you’d expect an inspecific "summer seasonal" to pour ... Hazy and golden like a hot summer day, with a little buzz like insects, and a poofy white cloud on top. The aroma is sweet and fruity. The beer drinks with a nice, light character, tart with lemon and peach, finishing with just a tease of spice. Nicely done! (#4736, 8/17/2012)

From a 12 ounce bottle. Pours a bit darker than the typical straw color of a macro. Very bubbly with a third-inch of lingering head. Fruity nose. Very clean taste. A bit of lemon peel. Fades away quickly with no aftertaste. Very drinkable. The boys (and girls) at New Belgium have another winner.

Not that good as far as I am concerned but not a hot summer day either. This was my first citrus beer taste.

Aroma: not much going on here, musty somewhat citrusy. Appearance: clear yellow not much lacing head went away right away. Taste: citrusy, fruity clean. Palate: Crisp very good for style. Alright for a hot day.

Blonde color. Aroma is fruity and wheaty. Hops become noticable when tasting. Watery mouthfeel.

This is wonderfully floral, and has the hoppy flavor lightened from what you would expect with an IPA. The head doesn’t stick around long and is barely one finger if that, bright white with some larger bubbles arising in it. The palate is light and it isn’t very mouthy but the flavor off it is nice.
