2.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 6/20
Not really impressed. Has a tangy flavor and arouma and isn’t really drinkable at cold temperatures. A tangerine-ie flavor... better served at room temperature.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
12 oz bottle, dated "best before" 4 Sept. 2011, served in a pint glass. (from notes)
Pours golden/light amber with an ample white head. Appears to have light, fine carbonation.
Aroma: some nice fruitiness, with a clear note of apricot, over a bed of light toasted grains, Centennial hops and baked bread.
Apricot is in the flavor as well, but the beer is not sweet. Instead, NB has achieved an excellent balance of sweet, tart and bitter. Other flavor components include some pepperiness (white), ginger, hops and lemon. These too are excellently balanced in this easy drinking but moderately complex and certainly interesting brew.
M - mildly crisp with a semi-dry and moderately tart finish. Excellent carbonation. Medium-light body.
O - a pleasant surprise. Although Somersault has a different flavor profile, there’s enough similarity for me to highly recommend this to fans of Magic Hat #9. This one is probably best-of-style for me so far and one I anticipate seeking out in the future.

3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bright, hoppy APA aroma with honeyish tones. Good bottle, interesting label, clear pale gold brew. Tangy, lemony tea is my first impression. And my second. Medium body. Meh. ABC Liquors, Bull Run.
