Inspired by our anniversary bike trips through Belgium. Spring Blonde is a bright golden ale with a sweet lemony start, pedaling to a pleasantly bitter finish.

"Clear golden but with a nice fluffy white head and good legs. Aroma is a little musty, with some yeasty spice and understated lemon. Decent prickly but crisp feel. Flavor pops a little more than the nose."

This is a great session beer. Its exactly what I was looking for in a light summer beer. The new Belgium web site says the ibus are 48 but it doesnít come across that hoppy.

12 oz. bottle. Pours a clear gold color with a 1" white head. Aroma is floral with a touch of yeast. Light-medium body. Malt is primary in the taste, was expecting more yeast. Slight sour/bitter finish. The taste improves as it warms. Ok, nothing to write home about. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

I had this on tap at Hangar on the Wharf, Juneau, AK. I had this in a pint glass. The appearance was a clear yellow color with no head (bar pour, so Iím not taken aback). There was some light stringy lacing following the beer as it goes down. The smell didnít really have much at all. If there was anything, there were some light floral notes. The taste once again didnít have much to it. It was basically just beer and it didnít have any aftertaste nor finish. On the palate, it sat exceptionally light and showed a very good sessionability about it. Overall, well, I say this was just an average American Blonde Ale. Iím not sure why its labeled a Belgian Ale as it wasnít even served in proper glassware for a Belgian Ale. Anyways, well, I honestly donít think Iíd have it again despite proper glassware or not.
