hellbilly (1502), scottsdale über alles, Arizona, USA May 28, 2007 on tap @ yardhouse (don’t drink there by the way) strange beer. i thought it was a wit when it came out. no aroma thanks to the ac vent above me. flavor is weird, like a bitter wit only watered down. definately citric and bitter from the wormwood (think absinthe) but refreshing. really got the alcohol at the end of the glass... bradmccarroll (57), San Antonio, Texas, USA May 26, 2007 I was intimidated when I read the description of this beer. I waited to try it until it was about to be pulled from the shelves and now I wish I had tried it the second it came out. Its very easy to drink, and has a refreshing fruitish flavor. Can’t wait until next spring. dougwoods (6), Texas, USA does not count May 25, 2007 Nutty aroma and taste up front, with too much of a malty finish for me. There is a citrus tang, but I can’t detect the berries. Thin-to-medium head and active carbonation adds to the pale hazy gold color. I think this beer begs to be served very cold. Not bad, but not great either. Steib (574), Queen Creek, Arizona, USA May 17, 2007 Light cream color with a nice head. Very well carbonated. Yeasty aroma, has some nice malt characteristics. Smooth creamy, yet tangy flavor. Ends in a nice sweet mouthfeel. Malt flavor is subtle. Spices profile seems to be well balanced if not overwhelming. Can’t put a finger on the wormwood or goji berries but i’m not having them very often. A nice refreshing beer for spring{summer here}. gogglegurf (9), Washington, USA does not count May 12, 2007 Light pale with thin head. Lacing held throughout. Light and refreshing Pretty carbonated. Had unique mild spicy flavor. Pretty Ok and easy to drink. brew4all (102), Las Vegas, Nevada, USA May 11, 2007 Yellowish pour with a thinhead. Aroma had sweet citris and grass to it. Tasted plain but refreshing. sethdude (600), St. Louis, Missouri, USA May 10, 2007 Pours a slightly hazy gold, big bubbly head on top. Aroma is mild, sweet, pale malts, a floral spell, fruity hops. Flavor is initially sweet, giving way to that nutty flavor in all NBB beers, warm malts come foward, hops dry out the finish and ends with a caramel tone set off by lingering woody esters. jzzbassman (838), New Albany, Mississippi, USA May 2, 2007 Poured a pale color with an effervescent head. The aroma starts promising, but ends with an odd banana note. Herbaceous and vaguely cornlike, flavor is not easy to define as nothing really stands out.
