A pleasant yellow, hay straw hue. Also mentions containing an assortment of unnamed Chinese herbs. As a tea maker, I really appreciated this refreshing summer-esque ale. I am sprung! Look is what I would expect from a cloudy blonde. Too many flavors though. Plus it is very astringent. Lots of Carbonation. Light Yellow in color and cloudy. Aroma is bready/yeasty with some fruity esters. Flavor starts mild and finishes with the taste of the spices coming through and somewhat astringent. Overall a pretty good spiced Belgium Blonde. Rictus (126), Camdenton, Missouri, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Mar 25, 2007 Mild smell. Pretty, cloudy and pale yellow with a larger than usual head. I can taste the berries but I cannot taste the wormwood. Very fresh and odd. Strange yet pleasant. Palate is watery like a pale lager and very carbonated. Though I definately won’t drink this every day it’s still a pleasant beer. murawski (158), USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Mar 23, 2007 Nice mild aroma of yeast and malt, with a good hazy yellow color (like a spring ale should have). I drank this very cold, and it was smooth and refreshing (with a great flavor, with a hint of spice). The palate was a bit rough, and the ale had a slightly acidic finish. Overall, I was surprised by this ale (which was different than your typical cookie-cutter spring ale). I recommend this one. glkaiser (1164), Seattle, Washington, USA
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Mar 21, 2007 Hazy yellow with good head. Yeasty bread aroma. Sweet with an odd bitterness. Very unique, just can’t get pass the astrigent bitterness. jake65 (1698), Williston, North Dakota, USA
| 2.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 6/20 | Mar 21, 2007 Bottle: Pours a clear golden/yellow, lots of white bubbly head, tons of carbonation. Nose is malty, grainy and hints of sours. Taste is lagerish with some sharper grassey notes. It tastes like NB tried to polish a bud. Blah. lipscomb216 (78), USA
