Commercial Description:
Ale brewed with wormwood, goji berries, and schisandra. Deftly, this spring brewed venture lands on its feet. Springboard combines oats, ancient Chinese herbs and Mt. Hood hops to maintain a balanced equilibrium for such an exhilarating ale. This cloudy blonde has a spirited threshold, and a creamy body, followed by a refreshingly dry finish.

Light colored, light bodied with citrus and slight berry scent and taste. Very refreshing and an overall flavorful brew.

I thought this was great. The taste is very like a cider, with an apple level that never leaves. The advertised dryness keeps it from getting silly, but certainly a sweet beer. Also a very slight note of mint, and the dryest under-ripe strawberry.

This beer poured a nice clear straw color, excellent white head with great retention, laced the glass. Aroma was very good, nice floral and fruity notes, kinda hard to tell apart. Flavor was unique, nice, fruity, hoppy flavor with a very balanced bitterness at the end. I was pretty impressed......Even told the wife about it....

If you are from the NW, it is similar tasting to Mac and Jacks, but you can buy it in the store!!!! The color is weak....it reminds me of corona, but the flavor is good. Plus its 6.2%

Bought a 12 pack at Target since I like NBBC and I like to try new things. The first night my wife and I tried it, we did not really care for it. The next evening, we disliked it a littled less. But the 3rd time and after, we started liking it. It definitely has a unique flavor, and I don’t expect everyone to like it. But for someone willing to give it a few tries to see if they can acquire the taste, I would say it is worth it.

This spiced ale pours a slightly cloudy pale yellow color from a 12oz bottle. Medium sized white foamy head. Aroma is citrus. Lemons and some spices. A medium to light bodied spiced ale. Malts are fruity and sweet, kind of wheaty and sort of wit like. Yet it has a strange herbal and spicy flavors as well. Light and refreshing. Its weird but I kind of like it. Not something I would want to drink a lot in a row of, but a nice refreshing spring beer. Mouthfeel is full. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly bitter.

Very interesting brew, not sure how to describe it, but I will. Color is a VERY pale and VERY cloudy yellow. Very light, refreshing mouth feel. Mildly toasty aroma with some fruitiness. Taste of soft wheat, berries, and some mild earthy hops. Tastes very light, the 6.2 ABV surpises me.

crisp, hay like clear and shiny with a nice fluffy white (whipped egg white) head which leaves some very pretty lacing At first whiff smells like a lager then some soft fruits (pear like) and low hop aroma come thru... Taste: WOW!... throw the book out... starts out with a light clean blonde/lagerish flavor with some fruit notes from the yeast and some spicy hop bitterness with a slight creaminess and some bite (carbonic???) but all of these yield way to a long complex dry finish which reveals more layers as you wait between sips... Overall: Very intriguing beer... when the beer is cold it comes across like a nice clean pilsner especially with the aroma and medium high carbonation. Absolutely top marks for creativity and stepping outside the "safe" range for beer... rheinheitsgebot be damned... beer is to be enjoyed first and classified later. Looks like a lovely quaffing beer... tastes great as well with enough interesting dimensions to keep the beer geeks gabbing and guessing between sips. Just a quibble: I miss the Biere De Mars from 2006 I was hoping it would be the March beer for NBB this spring as well
