COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Does it get any sunnier than two people in love? Sunshine Wheat came into the world as Wedding Wheat, a beer Jeff brewed in celebration of his wedding to Kim. A filtered wheat beer, Sunshine Wheat swirls in the mouth with ripples of coriander and orange peel tartness, settling into a sea of honey and apple tones.

Fairly bland aroma. Picking up a little bit of honey on bread. Taste is the same with a bubbly texture and a sweet finish. Not much to this one. Ok.

From the bottle -- Not worth a full review, decent Summer beer. Could have again, but don’t have to. Meh.

New Belgium Sunshine is good but a little light on flavor. Pour is a nice amber and a pretty decent head but it dissipates a little too fast. Aroma is strong and somewhat like a hop with citrus notes. This too disappears with the head. Taste is fruity with maybe a light dose of spice but nothing outstanding. Sunshine is a decent session beer with just enough uniqueness to keep it interesting.

Sunshine is a great name for this straw-colored, light-bodied beer. It isn’t particularly heady, but it produces a nice thin layer of white foam. The flavor is pretty standard for a wheat ale, but there seems to be just a bit more fruitiness and spiciness than you’d expect. The notes of citrus and coriander come through quite clearly. When paired with the strength of the aforementioned flavors, the carbonation can be overly fizzy. Nitpicking aside, Sunshine is a refreshing choice for a day spent, well, in the sun.

Reviewed 06/28/10 Poured to New Belgium tulip. A: Really light straw ale, almost neon. Exceptional clarity with continuous ribbons rising to surface dissipating quickly leaving no residual head. No lace. S: Grain scent with accents of orange and a hint of coriander oversurfaced with a wisp of hoppy resin. T: Totally caught off guard by the corn addition to the flavor of the ale. I’m often put off by coriander adjuncted beer, but this accentuates the beer quite well. The overall flavor profile of this beer reminds me of (dare I say?)...Cap’n Crunch! M: Light-Medium bodied beer with prickly carbonation skips over palate only to leave mouth cool and dry at finish. D: This is a beer I would recommend to a Blue Moon fan for transition to Micros. Especially during a hot August afternoon. Serving type: bottle 12-20-2010

Rated on 8-02-2009 (Best Before 09Oct09 Bottle) This beer forms a small white head that mostly diminished, transparent yellow body, and a fair amount of lacing. The Aroma is wheat malt, citrus hops, sweet, orange, and coriander. The Taste is sweet, wheat malt, and coriander. The Palate is sprite and this beer is light bodied. Overall, this beer is very easy to drink...almost too easy, session beer at most.

Aroma is light and sweet, appearance is a light and clear gold, taste starts with plenty of wheat and orange, light honey and is sweet just briefly then ends quite bitter.
