Does it get any sunnier than two people in love? Sunshine Wheat came into the world as Wedding Wheat, a beer Jeff brewed in celebration of his wedding to Kim. A filtered wheat beer, Sunshine Wheat swirls in the mouth with ripples of coriander and orange peel tartness, settling into a sea of honey and apple tones.

Pellucid yellow color with little head and diminishing lacing. Malty citrus aroma, strong notes of grapefruit and light floral hops, sweet fruit (apples), in the end a fresh (clean) diaper smell. Coriander flavors with a sweet honey flavor. Dry musky finish, very refreshing. New belgium always surprises me with their styles, I totally expected this to be an american wheat.

Medium head, Golden color. Sediment free. Some malt in the taste. Some orange too. Nothing too special.

Modest head, a clear golden color with a citrusy aroma. Light, sweet and with a tang of orange but I don't really connect with the coriander. Very smooth finish. Refreshing but just kind of ho hum. Maybe I'm just spoiled by their trippel.

Pours a surprisingly light and clear yellow with a nice, white head that leaves decent lacing all down the glass. It really looks more like pilsener than wit with the tiny bubbles, clear body and white head. The aroma is has some nice malty, bready notes and some decently strong spicy hops. The mouthfeel is surprisingly smooth, considering all the bubbles. The flavor brings us back to the witbier, at least slightly. Wheaty flavors come through, with a touch of sweet spices. However, it hardly reaches the level of Victory with all it's brilliance. It's not all bad, but certainly not the best. Easy to drink, but off from my knowledge of the style.

I've drank this beer for years, and enjoy it, but have never considered it a Wit. The color seems wrong, I'm pretty sure its filtered also, and I don't taste any orange peel. As a hard-to-catagorize summertime wheat brew, though, it's light and refreshing.

Orange and cilantro. Light and refreshing. This is my favorite beer for a sunny day. It tastes like bottled sun.

Pleasant diversion for a rainy Sunday afternoon. Little to no head - ginger ale-like light golden appearance. Slight fruit in the nose - but very faint. Crisp, frash flavor - nothing really jumps out about it - would make a good outdoor session beer. Goes down extremely smooth.

Pours a pale lemon color with good head and lacing. Filtered. Bit of a lemon/spice aroma and taste. Vacation 03

Great witbier. Sehr schone. Probably one of my top 4 wheats. True to the style with a nose of coriander, orange zest, and light malt and a bright, acidic flavor that is ideal in a white beer. Top off with the yeast.

A sediment-free clear white beer, with a nice sustained head. The aroma is all most exactly what you'd expect, wheat, orange peel and coriander; flavor is all most all coriander, with a hint of orange and wheat after a few sips. Not at all complex, but good enough I guess, and fairly clean...I remember this being a sediment beer in the dim recesses of the past, as it should be- still, I think I prefer this to my first tasting of Michigan brewed Celis white.
