Taste is mostly citrus; don’t get much wheat until the bottom of the glass. Very drinkable, but a little boring.

Poured straw pale clear color, almost green, with one finger of khaki white head. Some spots of lacing on the sides, albeit light. Average retention on the top.
Pleasant smell to kick things off with orange, orange rind, coriander, lemon, lime zest and wheat grass, all with noted Belgian spices.
Tasted not quite as good as the smell. Still got coriander, orange peel, orange, lime, lemon, wheat grass and sugary cereal. Still some Belgian spices. Not as clean and crisp it.
Light body. Thin texture. Average-to-lively carbonation. Abrupt finish.
This beer didn’t grow on me. In fact, it was the opposite. I suppose it would be a good summer brew though.

Loved this beer all through college and still love it now. Great for those Colorado summers
1.9 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20 BobbyAnalog (250) - San Diego, California, USA - MAY 17, 2013
An effervescent, carbonated, citrus lacquered wheat ale that puffs out its chest with coriander (nobody can ever get enough of that stuff, right?). Yeah, this is boring, uninspired, cloying and lacking complexity and originality. Sweet story behind it’s inception though.
3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 finn1918 (145) - Georgia, USA - MAY 6, 2013
On-tap in Colorado. Pours a clear, bright yellow with a foamy white head. Aroma is some citrus and hefe-style yeast. Taste follows suit; very refreshing with some complexity coming from the yeast; virtually no hops here. Very light and refreshing. This is the epitome of what a summer beer should be, in my opinion.
3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 ESBob (247) - Indiana, USA - MAY 4, 2013
Bottle. Pours a very light gold with slight white head. Aroma is a a zesty citrus. Taste is a blend of light citrus, coriander and maybe some honey. Smooth finish here. A nice summer offering.

Sunshine Wheat by New Belgium
Aroma citrus and maybe a hit of coriander. But something in the smells seems a bit strange. Not bad yet different
Appearance pale clear gold color with a nice think white 2 finger head. Light lacing on the glass
Taste a mild american wheat beer with orange flavors along with the coriander. Also an little apple flavor on the back end
Mouthfeel moderate carbonation mildly viscus that clings a little to the tongue
Overall a good wheat style beer Mild flavor, drinkable

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20 ronaldtheriot (782) - Laplace, Louisiana, USA - APR 16, 2013
New Belgium Sunshine Wheat has a very thick, fluffy, off-white head, a clear, quite bubbly, straw appearance, and a good amount of lacing left on the glass. The aroma and flavor are faint and dull, but one picks up a hint of spice and citrus (more lemon than orange, really) and bread. The taste is of white bread and tap water (a commonality for many wheat beers, I find). Mouthfeel is light and watery, and New Belgium Sunshine Wheat finishes crisp, refreshing, easy-drinking, and humdrum. Overall, this is at the lowest rung of what can be called "good", so check it out if you like bland beverages. I could live without ever having it again. RJT

12 oz bottle. Pours a pale golden-orange color with a small white head that doesn’t last. The aroma and flavor is wheat malts, sweet citrus fruitiness, herbs, spices and light yeast. Pretty light body with a soft, crisp and clean feel. Pretty tasty and refreshing.
3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 Steverus0 (68) - Shreveport, Louisiana, USA - MAR 24, 2013
Easily among my favorite filtered wheat beers. Nice and clean on the palate with coriander and orange that are not overdone. Finishes with a crisp edge.

On draft at the NB bar at DIA: pours clear golden, bright white head that recedes. Bubbles up from center of glass.nose is subtle, apple, pear and wheat. A little grassy. Somewhat dry and hints of honey on the tongue. Quite light and delicate if not a bit thin. Nice for a hot day I'd think
