4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Cloudy golden in color. It has a thick, frothy head with constallation lacing. Citrus and orange peel in the aroma. I love the aroma even though there is a sweaty sock smell. There is a bitter finish. Thin on the palate. Full bodied beer with a heavy carbonation. There is a strong hoppy flavor. This is well put together beer. Very enjoyable.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
22 oz bottle, thanks Anderson01- Pours hazy golden with a creamy bone white one finger head. Aroma is nice and hoppy, citrusy, somewhat dank, needles, sweet malt. The taste is a little less hoppy, but still a hop bomb, the sweet malt is more there, but still light and refreshing, peaches and other tropical fruits are there. Body is medium and carbonation is medium to kind of soft.

4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Pours a medium orange with a one finger white head with nice lacing. Aroma is of citrus (grapefruit and tangelos) resiny pine, dank hops, tropical fruits, and some sweet malts. Taste is similar with the addition of some spicy hops notes, grassy notes, and pear flavors. Has a medium body with a semi creamy mouthfeel and a semi dry, semi bitter, well balanced, medium-long finish. Overall, a very nice fresh hop IPA that is well balanced enough to really let the El Dorado and Cascade hops shine.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Sampled At Elysian, October 2013
Arrives from the tap with a ˝-finger thick, pale tan colored head. The beer is a clear, copper-amber color. The aroma is woody and herbal at first, but is then backed by a fruity character that leans towards grapefruit zest, touches of lychee, and something a bit like lemon-scented soap for some reason. A bit of warming, spicy alcohol also comes out here, and perhaps a hint of nutty, whole grain / caramel malt. The aroma is a bit fainter than I would like out of an IPA, but all the right notes are there.
The beer is bitter, with a palate coating viscous quality and a medium’ish character that doesn’t make it thicker than an IPA should be. Flavors of bitter orange zest, ripe tangelo, and ruby red grapefruit are anchored by pine notes, and some herbaceaous notes that lean towards menthol and rosemary sort of herbs without quite being either of those. The finish is a mix of herbal hops and hints of caramelized, whole grain malt character.
Not bad, definitely interesting, though I think it could use more hop character for some reason.

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Eminently solid IPA. Surprisingly "hop balanced," in that there seems to be equal amounts of pine, grapefruit, and resin in flavor. Bitter finish, but just on the right side of the hop bomb boundary. B+

3.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle @ home, picked up at Wilbur’s Fort Collins. Pours a hazy, slightly dark orange appearance with an off white head. Somewhat spicy, piney/sprucey hoppy, grapefruit, mango, pineapple, a bit weedy aroma. A bit thick, slightly goopy malty mouth feel with a lot of candy/pixie stix notes in the flavor along with pineapple, passion fruit, a bit earthy, somewhat spicy hops, and a fair amount of sweetness. A bit thick and a little too sweet, but ultimately pretty drinkable.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
On tap at Bailey’s, pours a cloudy golden with a small white head. Aroma brings out loads of Belgian yeast, hops, and pot. Flavour brings out loads of weed-like hops, herbal notes, and biscuity doughy malts. Extremely fresh and doughy, as well as weed-like. Good stuff.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Label says this is brewed with El Dorado AND Cascades... The Trip X used only El Dorado.
Picked this up at the COOP today... Pours with a nice long lasting 1 finger of foamy white head... the brew is hazy golden orange.
Nose shows a grassy/fruity element that reminds me of ripe pears.... There is also some background citrus from the cascades... pale malty sweetness is present, but just as an essence.
Decent bitterness reminds you this is intended to be an IPA... Hop flavors are more of a tropical fruit essence... a bit of pear is also there... the bitterness sorta bites right up to the finish... maybe a bit too much residual maltiness for my palate, the light malty sweetness I believe mutes the hops a little.
Body is a solid medium... good bubbles.
Not bad... not great... but pretty tasty.. I would buy this again as long as I can get it fresh.
