| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Nov 12, 2009 Slightly hazy, lightly orange tinted golden colored liquid. Minimal head with minimal lacing.
Citrus and yeast notes. Floral and spicey. Sweet, fruity smell.
Nice and sweet upfront, but agreeably so. Caramalized white fruits. Light malt kisses. Bready yeast notes. Hops stop by to say ’hello’, but don’t stick around.
Nice and creamy, as it should be, for the style.
When looking for an affordable trippel (i.e.-can’t afford a true belgian today) this would totally work.
New Belgium does good, again.

| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Oct 3, 2009 Pale golden in color with aromas of clove, bananas, and light bready malts. Taste is slightly under medium bodied/moderately carbonated with a faint banana and clove presence, very nice toasted/biscuit malts, subtle use of noble hops, and a short sweet finish. Very drinkable. KyotoLefty (1387), Kyoto, Japan

Strong banana and floral aroma, golden color. Very estery flavor with honey, bananas, citrus; medicinal as well, with an uninspiring finish. Straightforward and un-complex. Not one of my favorite takes on the style. Almost typical of American tripels.

| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Sep 25, 2009 12oz bottle. Pours a clear, bright, honey-golden color; thin white head with small-bubbled lacing. The nose on this is a bit reserved at first, with honey, toasted malts, and white pepper / spices eventually poking out once it warms; well-balanced, with an increasing presence from cloves. Medium-to-full mouthfeel: this seems like a nice balance between the overt peppery / yeastiness of a tripel and the most relaxed, toasty breadiness of a dubbel; not intentionally a hybrid, of course, but this seems one potential theme here; honey, graham crackers, a high prominence of clove and pepper; a solid acidity and slightly high levels of carbonation; rich core, biscuity; a very enjoyable tripel overall. Bits of alcohol, nicely warming, poking through without causing trouble. Lasting finish of honey, white pepper, cloves, and toasty breadiness; nicely dry. Hbuck72 (123), Chickasha, Oklahoma, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Sep 19, 2009 Pours a light golden color with white head. Aroma is primary lighly malted grains, slight fruit and alcohol notes. Not as strong and flavorful as I would expect from a Belgian style trippel. MrRoss (617), Delta, British Columbia, Canada
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Sep 17, 2009 Lighter appearance than some other Trippels I’ve had nad certainly cloudy enough. Smallish head. Aroma was enticing, being nicely spiced. Maybe some cloves here? Oh yes, likewise the taste. Solid mouthfeel, and a sweet, pleasing finish. Tastes more-ish. phishpond417 (1914), Madison, Wisconsin, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 12/20 | Sep 15, 2009 Just tried this today at a beer tasting in my package store then picked up a bomber to go- bright semi hazey golden colour with a fluffy white head. yeasty with bananna, clove and pear notes. Super fun, citrusy and generous with plenty of malt. very refreshing and clean throughout. One of the nicest triples ive had in a while! Meatmallet (120), Salem, Illinois, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Sep 12, 2009 Appearance: Pours a crystal clear golden color. Has a medium sized white head that quickly settles to a film quickly. I notice lots of suspeneded sediment in my glass.
Smell: Has a great honey and floral aroma. I also pick up bubble gum and spices and a bit of pepper.
Taste: Tons of different flavors in this beer. Lemon, honey, pear, and a spices. Also a very light alcohol burn.
Mouthfeel/drinkability: Heavy carbonation and very crisp. Comes off very dry. I was surprised by this because I never expect much from American versions of Belgian style beers.
