Commercial Description:
Our Trippel Belgian Style Ale (pronounced triple) opens with a bold blast of hops that slowly gives way to the fruity esters implied by our Belgian yeast strain. The Three Graces hand-painted on the label are Zeus’s daughters Aglaia (splendor), Euphrosyne (mirth) and Thalia (good cheer). In the Belgian tradition of brewing singles, doubles and triples, Trippel is the strongest with the longest fermentation. Remarkably smooth and complex, our bottle-conditioned Trippel is spiced with a trace of coriander.

12 oz bottle. Pours clear gold with a medium white head. Aroma is of a witbier - sprices and fruit. Flavor is the same, but more so. Very, very fruity. Sweet, yeasty, tasted very much like a cross between a tripel and a wit. Odd, and not what I was expecting at all. Drinkable, but a bit too "unique."

Wow. Complex, sweet, a wonderful blend of thick malt and floral, cinnamon hops. Beautiful pour with nice head and lacing, slightly weak nose. Very surprised, you’re awesome New Belgium.

lightly hazy gold with nice lacing under a medium sized foamy white head. sweet yeasty, creamed corn, hops and alcohol in aroma. palate is bright and light bodied. flavors of hops, red apples, and sweet grains with yeast. a little light bodied compared to many belgians but its a solid effort.

(Bottle) Pours a golden color with a small amount of white foam. Sweet yeast and light citrus/spice in the aroma. Taste is of sweet rolls, light caramel, some fruit (apple, pear), and a faint tangerine note. Didn’t really get the woody overtone described in the commercial description. Medium carbonation level, without much alcohol in the taste. Refreshing, and highly drinkable.

Pours a golden color from the bottle with great lacing and a trim white head. Skunky flour aroma with a refreshing caramel apple flavor. Sweet mouthfeel and suprisingly drinkable.

Bottled. Pours clearly, the color of straw with minimal white head. Aromas of spice and orange. Flavors include the same with an earthy mineraliness a touch of leather. Finishes with a lingering palate. Overall, decent and i will have it again.

Pours amber with the slightest tinge of orange. Moderate head that keeps fizzing with bubbles from bottom of glass. Mild, mild hint of banana/clove of a German hefe. Finishes smooth. Virtually no aftertaste; maybe a hint of sweet. Cannot taste the alcohol for the 7.8%. An excellent brew.

Clear golden pour with orange tint. Bubbly one-finger white head. Slightly perfumy/powdery nose with hints of dirt/earth and stronger hints of yeast and apricots. Sweetness hits hard at first but mellows a bit as one drinks. Surprisingly alcoholic tasting for not even 8%. Disappointing finish.
