Commercial Description:
Our Trippel Belgian Style Ale (pronounced triple) opens with a bold blast of hops that slowly gives way to the fruity esters implied by our Belgian yeast strain. The Three Graces hand-painted on the label are Zeus’s daughters Aglaia (splendor), Euphrosyne (mirth) and Thalia (good cheer). In the Belgian tradition of brewing singles, doubles and triples, Trippel is the strongest with the longest fermentation. Remarkably smooth and complex, our bottle-conditioned Trippel is spiced with a trace of coriander.

Golden yellow in color with fine sediment and a fluffy off white head. Sweet malt aromas witha touch of yeast scent. Light body and higher carbonation. Very watery for a tripel. Flavors of some malts and semi sweet candied tones. Nothing exciting. the finish is somewhat acidic and muddled.

One of the better offerings from New Belgium. Pours a nice amber gold color with a creamy white head that lasts. Nice citrus and yeast aroma. Malty flavor with some good hoppiness on the finish. Pretty good stuff.

I thought this was better than the Abbey. Clear light copper pour with a thick white head. The aroma is of hops, spice and light fruits. The flavor is of more malt than expected. There is some floral hops some spices and malt.

draft at the brewery - Pours gold with a long lasting head that leaves a heavy lace. The aroma is all citrus and yeast. The flavor is fairly sweet with a touch of hops in the finish. Medium bodied and smooth, it’s an enjoyable tripel though not an outstanding one.

Spicy floral aroma, mild taste for the genre, but quite tsaty and drinkable. Great value for the price, slightly on the bitter side for a Tripel. Thumbs up.

I picked up a 6-pack of this in Dallas and I was definitely impressed with the drinking experience I had. This abbey trippel smelled like a tantalizing aroma of floral and/or a fruity aroma. Flavor was damn good, and I could obviously taste the mild malty and banana taste that was quite apparent. The appearance is of your average golden color and the palate is a refreshing fizzy carbonation that is not quite perfect. Overall this is a beer that I would recommend to anyone that empathizes Belgium ales!

Pours a rich, deep gold with a slight haze. The head is pure white and creamy in texture. The aroma is slightly herbal, cinnamon and oranges. The flavor is dulled for some reason, a bit of malt, but there doesn’t seem to be a lot going on, especially considering the aroma. The mouthfeel is very carbonated, almost foamy to begin, but settles down as time goes on.
