Commercial Description:
Our Trippel Belgian Style Ale (pronounced triple) opens with a bold blast of hops that slowly gives way to the fruity esters implied by our Belgian yeast strain. The Three Graces hand-painted on the label are Zeus’s daughters Aglaia (splendor), Euphrosyne (mirth) and Thalia (good cheer). In the Belgian tradition of brewing singles, doubles and triples, Trippel is the strongest with the longest fermentation. Remarkably smooth and complex, our bottle-conditioned Trippel is spiced with a trace of coriander.

Some slight hops, little spice on the nose. Golden straw, decent head, no lacing. Bitter orange, deep complex sweetness. Low carbonation, full body, pretty nice finish. Good beer, but seemed a little dumbed down for a Tripel.

This one came from rollinhard. Thanks! Syrup and citrus aroma. Refreshing clear golden color. Big body dominated by sweetness. Looks like, tastes huge. Flavor is slightly sour with a bitter hop finish. Nice yeast presence. Getting some caramel malt flavor as well.

Bottle. Pours sparkling golden with frothy, fizzy smallish white head; lasting with good lacing. Nose has moderate graininess and some doughy yeast, as well as banana, hints of bubble gum, clove, vanilla pepper and faint alcohol. Flavor is sweetish, lightly toasted caramel, textured bread. Hoppiness is somewhat pronounced with fruity, herbal flavors. Light dusty yeast flavor also present. Moderate bitterness throughout. Bitterness lingers in the finish. Palate is quite full, slightly oily, mildly syrupy, with a lightly astrigent alcohol note.

Bottle. Pours a light, clear gold with a thin fizzy head. The aroma is mostly banana and malt. The flavor is mostly a sweet fruity banana malt, with some yeast and floral aspects. Not a bad beer at all. Drinkable for sure. Like a banana nut bread beer almost.

Bottle: Golden colored pour with medium sized head. Malty, sweet fruity aroma with a fruity, yeasty, grainy finish. This wasn’t too bad.

12 oz bottle from BlackForestCO. Dated 21 Nov. 08. Lots of tropical fruit on the nose. Pineapple and banana. Some light white pepper spice. Green pepper (?) and some sarthy and slightly floral hops. Pours bright clear gold with virtually no head. Flavor was rather dry with lots of earth and dirty grass hops on the fore with the sweeter fruit esters on the finish. Definite Noble hop presence as well. Medium bodied. Decent carbonation. Lasting malty finish.
