Commercial Description:
Our Trippel Belgian Style Ale (pronounced triple) opens with a bold blast of hops that slowly gives way to the fruity esters implied by our Belgian yeast strain. The Three Graces hand-painted on the label are Zeus’s daughters Aglaia (splendor), Euphrosyne (mirth) and Thalia (good cheer). In the Belgian tradition of brewing singles, doubles and triples, Trippel is the strongest with the longest fermentation. Remarkably smooth and complex, our bottle-conditioned Trippel is spiced with a trace of coriander.

A very good American tripel. Aroma was huge- strong light fruit, ginger and yeast. Pour was a hazy light gold with a 2 finger white head. Taste was very different...not much yeast but a strong fruit and sugar taste that’s heavy on ginger and a floral aftertaste. Medium carbonation which was disappointing but this was better than their dubbel.

Dark golden pour, small white head. Aroma is all yeast, spicy, pepper, honey, bread and some hop undertones. Flavor is more phenolic yeast, spicy, bready, lots of floral hops, astringent bitterness and more phenols. Some banana and lemon come out as it warms with more peppery spiciness. Not bad.

Pours pale gold with little foam. Aroma strong yeasty malt, reminds me of rising bread. Flavor is a bit sweet, but mitigated by slight hops. The palate is watery but saved by good carbonation and hops aftertaste.

Nice golden color and nice head. A wonderful yeasty aroma with a strong floral and fruity (banana?) hints. When I first got it, it was served a little too cold, but the flavors developed nicely as the beer warmed up a bit. The floral and fruity tastes really grab you. You can really taste the alcohol in the aftertaste. As far as American efforts go, this is a very solid effort at mimicking the Belgian trippels.

Thanks to rustychiles for the bottle. Clear yellow/amber color with a large head. Fair retention. Aroma of sugary malts, pears, citrus/tangerine and a fair amount of grassy/floral hops. Some banana in the taste, but not a lot. Very crisp an clean; difficult to believe it is unfiltered.

Very impressed with this beer. Full-flavored with tones of citrus with malty overtones. Got a little better as it warmed up a little.

I recognized the taste of this one immediately. It had the openings of a full-flavored Hefe with the inner flavor of a citrus-apricot Belgian Trappist. The first few tastes were below the serving temperature, but this brew was solid as it warmed. Very good.

Didn’t come off like a tripel. I’m going to Ft. Collins to have this from the brewery. My bottle fell flat with little head. The taste frankly didn’t compliment the aroma (banana? apricot?) at all. Had a nice mouth feel but mostly tasted like alcohol.
