Commercial Description:
Our Trippel Belgian Style Ale (pronounced triple) opens with a bold blast of hops that slowly gives way to the fruity esters implied by our Belgian yeast strain. The Three Graces hand-painted on the label are Zeus’s daughters Aglaia (splendor), Euphrosyne (mirth) and Thalia (good cheer). In the Belgian tradition of brewing singles, doubles and triples, Trippel is the strongest with the longest fermentation. Remarkably smooth and complex, our bottle-conditioned Trippel is spiced with a trace of coriander.

Aroma of humidity and horse stables with some citrus. Taste is a bit more golden, with malts, citrus, fruits and abundant yeasts. Finishes spicey and semi sweet and semi acid, with a bubble gum aftertaste. Lots of carbonation... regular for tripels.

Stopped into a Ralph’s in Seattle and picked up a six. Brought it with me into the mountains of Washington and drank it well. It has such a great yeast flavor with just enough fruit and honey flavor that I would eat it for breakfast.

First trippel, first rating! Nice gold color with a thin head. Aroma is nice, light banana hints. Taste was very hoppy at first then mellowed out. Highly carbinated tingly to the tounge.

My bottle (12oz) shared with HogTownHarry and biegaman -- courtesy of fordest. Pours a clear gold with a small diminishing white head. Aroma starts pretty awful, like dirty shitty diapers -- ugh -- thankfully it gets somewhat better with some sweetness, fruit, yeast, grain and alcohol coming through. Sweet flavour of fruity malt, yeast, spices and some alcohol in the finish. Medium bodied. Like HogTownHarry, my notes concluded with "Meh" which pretty much sums up this beer for me.

Bottle, mostly banana and spice ,yeast is prominate, Plenty of banana, saaz and yeast flavors. Nice metalic notes from the saaz. Fairly diffferent for a triple, lighter in mouthfeel, less aroma, not as much farmhouse quality. Its not bad but too me it doesn;t really seem like other triples I have had. Its good if judged on its own but its light for the style. The lacing is nice though.

The few tripples I’ve had were the 7 dollar a bottle imports. I’ve never had a ’second tier’ trippel...until now. It just doesn’t stand up. Don’t get me wrong, it isn’t bad beer. It just doesn’t match up to the leaders fo this category

Pour was crystal clear pale copper with a thin white head that evaporated quickly and didn’t offer up much in terms of lacing. The aroma was malt, spice and fruit with a thin bit of yeast. The flavor was pepper, yeast, clove and malt with some sweetness barely balancing the flavor out. Overly carbonated but went down fairly easy.
