Commercial Description:
Our Trippel Belgian Style Ale (pronounced triple) opens with a bold blast of hops that slowly gives way to the fruity esters implied by our Belgian yeast strain. The Three Graces hand-painted on the label are Zeus’s daughters Aglaia (splendor), Euphrosyne (mirth) and Thalia (good cheer). In the Belgian tradition of brewing singles, doubles and triples, Trippel is the strongest with the longest fermentation. Remarkably smooth and complex, our bottle-conditioned Trippel is spiced with a trace of coriander.

Not as spicy as I would have liked from the style. I have never hidden my hate for NB, but this was decent despite the palate.

Bottle. Pours a pale yellow. Medium very light fluffy head. Smell is very lemony almost lemon floor cleaner like. Some herbal quality too reminds me a bit too much of a ginger ale. Taste is sweet herbaceousness. Not really pleasant, but there are enough different flavors on the tongue to at least keep me interested. Mouthfeel was pretty light. Overall this was not a satisfying beer. A little too much herbal/medicinal character for my tastes.

flavors of lemon, poppyseed, orange peel, brown sugar, maple syrup, birch wood, floral hints and honey. Very good, a little too sweet for my liking, but seems like it might be the best beer I can get in Arkansas in the summer :)

Strong banana esters in the sample I tried. A nice American trippel. Some domestic brewers have really taken the art of brewing to new levels here in the states.

A very good trippel. Has a nice yeasty smell too it with some malt as well. Taste is yeast, malt and a bit of hoppy finish with a tad of fruity flavor. Not nearly as rich and complex as many trippels, but still very good and refreshing.

Bottle... Poured a rich, copper tone with a medium white head. Sweet malt on the nose, strong, carbonated palate. Flavors of citrus fruit, yeast, floral and earth tones, malt with a hint of hops ending it off for evenness, a little bit of a metallic aftertaste. I love this style, and this isn’t a bad interpretation of it.

A deep golden beer sits in my glass. It has notes of banana and clove in the nose. The small head it gave me goes away quickly.....I’m getting old. Flavor is yeasty with sweet fruit giving way to a estery finish. Not as rich as some other trippels I’ve had. Subtle. Great. Thanks Tom.

Bottle. Pours a clear, brilliant gold with a fluffy white head that settles down and leaves some good lacing. Nose is sweet and floral with some spiciness. Taste is spicy malt with lots of different fruits. Medium body feels prickly on the palate. Finish is tangy and dry with some ethanol. I’m a Belgian novice, but this is very approachable and appealing to me.
