Commercial Description:
Our Trippel Belgian Style Ale (pronounced triple) opens with a bold blast of hops that slowly gives way to the fruity esters implied by our Belgian yeast strain. The Three Graces hand-painted on the label are Zeus’s daughters Aglaia (splendor), Euphrosyne (mirth) and Thalia (good cheer). In the Belgian tradition of brewing singles, doubles and triples, Trippel is the strongest with the longest fermentation. Remarkably smooth and complex, our bottle-conditioned Trippel is spiced with a trace of coriander.

Dark golden color with some yeasty sediment. Sweet aroma with a hint of fruit. Excellent flavor, though a tad oversweet. Similar to a traditional wheat bear, but with a stronger flavor. Excellent!

From bottle. Poured dark yellow (orange and amber?) with s small white head that left moderate lacing. Nose is strong. Mostly malts, fruti, flowers, adn hops. Mouthfeel is really clean and crisp. Good favors with banana showing up at this point. Flavors hang on well to the last drop. This is a very nice beer. I am not all that expert on the type, but I this seems like a good example.

I remember liking the plentiful, rich head on this beer. The color is a cloudy apple. The nose is composed of strong, sour alcohol. A brisk and warming initial flavor develops to a strong, but fading middle. Mellowing flavors linger on the middle of the tongue for the finale. Overall, this is an excellent Belgian imitation, with some American zazz thrown in.

12oz bottles. I was very amazed by this beer. Strong, very drinkable beer. Citrusy and bit fruity, but nothing over powering.

Bottle from Hy-Vee Liquors poured into my brand new trappist glass! - Pours very orange amber with a minimal white head; Malt, citrus, spices, apple, and a bit of a wine aroma to the nose; Tons of fruits, alcohol, floral and citrus hops on the initial taste; A biting citrusy, lightly hoppy clean backtaste; Good, full palate; Not much visible carbonation but a good bit present in the tasting; VERY enjoyable brew. A nice complex flavor that doesn’t overpower. A little high on carbo, but that’s my only real complaint! Excellent job New Belgium!

Bottle. "fluffy" head, golden color. Banana esters in the aroma and in taste. Fruity flavor intensifies as the beer warms on the palate. Despite the high-ish ABV, it’s very smooth and easy to drink.

Looks golden and beautiful in a trapist glass. The aroma leaves a little to be desired, but the taste is a complex balance of spicy, herbal, and mellow fruit notes. The alcohol content is hidden very well; hard to distinguish in taste but leaves a nice warm feeling in the throat. Plus it goes down relatively smooth. Overall, an excellent trippel that I could drink again and again.

Pours golden with a quickly dissipating white head. Aromas of white wine, banana and bread with a citrus hop bouquet. Very malty flavor, sweet and fruity with a bit of hop herbaceousness and bitterness; good but not as complex as a Tripel should be. Full bodied with a LONG finish.
