Commercial Description:
Our Trippel Belgian Style Ale (pronounced triple) opens with a bold blast of hops that slowly gives way to the fruity esters implied by our Belgian yeast strain. The Three Graces hand-painted on the label are Zeus’s daughters Aglaia (splendor), Euphrosyne (mirth) and Thalia (good cheer). In the Belgian tradition of brewing singles, doubles and triples, Trippel is the strongest with the longest fermentation. Remarkably smooth and complex, our bottle-conditioned Trippel is spiced with a trace of coriander.

How this outrates so many great authentic Belgium tripels is beyond me. This is an alright beer especially for the price though. Pours clear filtered bright yellow with hyperactive carbonation and a good sized white head. The aroma is peppery spice with light earthiness, light sweetness and a bit musty along with a bit of richness. Medium body with sharp carbonation that is much sharper than most I’ve had of the style. Starts with a sourness, light barnyard and some richness with a light syrup taste and feel. The finish has some spice and light astringency added to things. An okay beer that is highly enjoyable for the price.

12 oz bottle from Holiday Wine Cellar: Pale hazy peach color with a medium bright white head. Nose is fruity with some apple and citrus. Flavor starts lightly sweet with more fruit followed by a tangy, peppery bitterness and finishing lightly dry and lemony. Medium bodied and zesty with lively carbonation.

12 oz bottle-trade w/after4ever. Poured a beautiful golden color w/a moderate off white head. Wonderful classic Belgium aroma. Big, complex, spicey, sweet, fizzy, citrus flavor. Classic Belguim-I’ve had many Belgiums from Belgium which didn’t taste as Belgium, if you had it in a blind taste test you would never guess it was an American made beer. Long finish-this is a very good beer!! Thanks Tom!!!

golden pour w/ a tall thick well laced white head. Lightly floral aroma not as sweet as I’d expect from a trippel, yeasty notes w/ some bread dough, well blended together. Palate is nice and fluffy well coated and lightly creamy in the finish. Flavor is sweet grains and candied sugars some bread doughes and honey notes as well as prevelant alcohol in the swallow.

Clear golden with an appreciable head of foam though not nearly as much as a true belgium triple. Medium bodied, creamy, sweet in the middle, with popping acidity and a warming dry finish.
