Commercial Description:
Our Trippel Belgian Style Ale (pronounced triple) opens with a bold blast of hops that slowly gives way to the fruity esters implied by our Belgian yeast strain. The Three Graces hand-painted on the label are Zeus’s daughters Aglaia (splendor), Euphrosyne (mirth) and Thalia (good cheer). In the Belgian tradition of brewing singles, doubles and triples, Trippel is the strongest with the longest fermentation. Remarkably smooth and complex, our bottle-conditioned Trippel is spiced with a trace of coriander.

Bottle: Huge flowery aroma with light fruit and a hint of yeast. Pours a mostly transparent golden-orange with a touch of haze and a little bit of sediment. Moderate white head lasts a minute or so and leaves some okay lacing. Yeasty fruitiness up front is quickly overtaken by a peppery and flowery hopped finish.

(Bottle 35,5 cl) Pours a slightly hazy pilsener golden with a creamy, off-white head leaving a discreet lacework. Distinct aroma of yeast and some fruit - perhaps even a dash of coriander. Rather full-bodied with accents of yeast and sulphur - and perhaps a banana note. Some alcohol presence showing in the finish. Thanks to PhillyBeer2112 for providing this. 060706

Alcoholic, spicy fruitiness in the aroma, powerful and drunk. Nice gold pour with a bug, puffy head. Flavor is thin and very alcoholic, with gentle fruit notes, pepper, licorice.

12oz bottle via trade with cbkschubert! - Thanks Craig! - Pours golden with a fluffy offwhite head that stayed well and laced in sheets on the tulip that I drank it in. Aromas of yeast, corriander, bannana, and green apple. Flavor is fruity with lots of apple, bannana, and a bit of pear. Also some yeasty notes there and a spicy dry finish. Palate was good and crisp. Very nice tripel. Enjoyed.

Bottle. Pours a red tinged yellow with a nice little head. Aroma is malty, grassy, with some light toast. Flavor was spicy and yeasty. There was some hop character but it was in the back. The mouthfeel was thick and creamy. Not bad at all, but nothing spectacular either. Thanks to jhammerly for the bottle.

12oz bottle from lee’s liquor: hazy as hell, yellow with a long lasting creamy head. thick body, and an even thicker flavor of sweet malt and yeast. perhaps some plum and sour fruit in the aroma, and a little in the flavor.. which is not off style for belgian but unusual for an american one. or perhaps my bottle is from a "bad" batch ;) still enjoyable, well hidden alcohol.. watch out.
